The visor uses a raster (2) of opaque prints or lines over a given area of the windscreen (1) and a cooperating transparent plate (3) with a similar raster (2'). In the case of these roofs a particular nuisance is caused if running or flowing tracks of liquid caused by rain or cleaning of the windscreen occur during the journey. It is known to drain off water, which has penetrated into a border around a glass roof insert, through openings which lead downwards and outwards from the lowest point of the border. In the novel vehicle a drainage channel (5) for conducting away water extends in the direction of the vehicle rear, along the front side (2) and the longitudinal sides (3, 4) of a roof region (1), which is to be protected against flowing tracks, continuously as far as the end (36) of the roof on the rear side.
