A wearing article having a waist-opening that can be easily folded back along a fold line extending in a transverse direction without increasing the stiffness in the vicinity of the waist-opening. A diaper includes front and rear waist members and a crotch member. A liquid-absorbent structure of the crotch member is formed outboard of in a longitudinal direction of a core with front and rear flaps exclusively composed of an absorption surface wrapping sheet, a leakage-barrier sheet and a bottom surface wrapping sheet. The front and rear waist members include first regions overlapping the front and rear flaps, respectively, second regions lying adjacent to the associated first regions and third regions lying adjacent to the associated second regions. The front and rear waist members are provided with the first, second and third waist elastics attached between respective inner and outer sheets in the first, second and third regions, respectively. A tensile stress of the first regions and the third regions is adjusted to be lower than that of the second regions. 2. The wearing article according to claim 1 , wherein the respective second regions are provided with a plurality of second waist elastics extending in the transverse direction and contractibly attached thereto under tension and the first waist elastics have a fineness smaller than that of the second waist elastics and a stretch ratio higher than that of the second waist elastics.3. Pull-on disposable articles having an extensible belt transversely disposed with respect to a chassis portion are disclosed. The belt portion of the pull-on article is provided with a fit indicator graphic. When the belt portion of the article is unstretched the fit indicator graphic has a first appearance. When the belt portion of the article is stretched to its design range for wear the fit indicator graphic has a second appearance. When the belt portion of the article is stretched beyond its design range for wear the fit indicator graphic has a third appearance. By confirming the configuration of the fit indicator graphic in the second appearance in wear, the proper fit of the disposable absorbent article may be verified.
