A collapsible table assembly is provided that allows a platform table to be easily stowed parallel to a wall when not in use. The collapsible table assembly having a hinged interlocking assembly comprising support arms coupled to a table platform. The support arms are capable of guiding the platform from a stowed position, to a deployed position. The hinged interlocking assembly further comprises a first and a second pliant member disposed within the guide groove. The pliant members act to restrict certain directional movement of the hinge axis pin as it travels through the guide groove while the table platform is transitioned from the stowed position to the deployed position, and vice-versa. The pliant members prevent the table platform from collapsing inadvertently, by only allowing the hinge axis pin to travel in one direction throughout the guide groove while transitioning between stowed and deployed. 1. Proposed is a universal mechanical tester for measuring friction and wear characteristics of materials. The tester allows performing multiple test protocols with a single machine. The tester consists of a frame that supports a carriage moveable in a vertical direction, a force sensor assembly attached to the carriage, a positioning stage with a slide and a platform, and a plurality of modular sample stages interchangeably installable on the platform for executing linear and rotary motions of the lower sample relative to the upper sample in various directions and planes. The tester is provided with a set of identification units for identifying a modular sample stage installed on the platform and the force sensor assembly attached to the carriage.

Embedded furniture systems include a wall having a recessed pocket, a furniture element hingedly connected to the wall and selectively moveable between a storage position in which the furniture element is vertically disposed in the pocket and a utility position in which the furniture element horizontally extends from the pocket, and a support structure hingedly connected to the furniture element and selectively positionable between an extended position in which the support structure protrudes substantially perpendicular to the furniture element and a retracted position in which the support structure extends substantially parallel to the furniture element. An illuminating mechanism illuminates a lighting element disposed in the support structure when the support structure is in the retracted position by bringing a contact element connected to the surface of the furniture element into communication with a circuit element connected to the surface of the support structure to complete an electrical circuit.

Retractable support surface and method of assembling the same

A support surface assembly includes a housing including a chamber and an opening. The support surface assembly also includes a support surface retractably coupled to the housing between a deployed position and a stored position. The support surface includes a plurality of slats pivotally coupled together, wherein each slat comprises a first end opening and an opposing second end opening. The support surface assembly also includes a plurality of rods associated with a corresponding slat of the plurality of slats. A tray table body can be movable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration.
