Rotating/Swiveling Golf Club Head Training Aid

Номер: US20130190099A1
Принадлежит:

A golf club training aid for improving a golf swing, with the golf club including a club head, a club shaft attached to the club head that rotates within the club head, a stop that limits the rotational range of the club shaft in respect to the club head, and a tension actuator that attaches to the club shaft and club head and provides tension against the rotation of the club head about the club shaft. The tension provided by the tension actuator is overcome when the club shaft is rotated, by proper hand rotation, during a club swing to create a rotational force greater than the tension force, whereby the club head rotates to a rest position—the end of the rotational range of the stop—and the club face makes solid contact with a golf ball. If proper hand rotation does not occur during a swing, the club head and stop will remain in an open position upon contact with a golf ball and the club head will, at that point of contact, move backward and result in angled contact with a golf ball during the golf swing. 1. A golf club for improving a golf swing , such golf club consisting of:a. a club head;b. a club shaft attached to the club head and that rotates within the club head;c. a stop that limits the rotational range of the club shaft in respect to the club head; andd. a tension actuator that attaches to the club shaft and club head and provides tension against the rotation of the club head about the club shaft except when either (i) the club shaft is rotated during a club swing to create a rotational force greater than the tension force that pushes the club head to a rest position, and thereby forces the club head to rotate to the end of the rotational range of the stop in the club head before contact with a golf ball is made, or (ii) upon contact with a golf ball.2. A course card having a pictorial schematic representation of a hole of a golf course is used to plan and record strokes made at the driving range. The golfer estimates the distance and direction from the marked position on the course card to the cup, chooses a club, and then drives a ball in a desired direction and with a selected force towards the green and cup. Each stroke taken by the golfer is recorded on the course card and marks the landing location of the ball from the stroke on the course card. This process continues until the golfer deems that his/her ball would be on the green of the hole being simulated. The hole may then be putted at a putting green.

Принадлежит: Individual

A golf swing practice and improvement device is disclosed for better training the golfing enthusiast to make straighter shots when hitting a golf ball, without hooking or slicing the ball. The device is provided with an adjustable boom assembly supported to provide three-dimensional positioning to a head guide assembly attached to the boom assembly. The head guide is provided so that it can be placed at lateral or side portions of a golfer's head to guide and keep the head in position while the golfer is making their golf club swing to the golf ball. The boom assembly is made to be withdrawn from the golfer's head just after the golfer makes contact in swinging their gold club with the ball. In doing so the golfer trips a sensing assembly of the invention when following through with the shot which provides an activating force or signal to move the head guide assembly away and above from the golfer's head, while permitting the golfer to make a natural follow-through with their swinging club after hitting the golf ball.

TrueAim

Номер: US20150017620A1
Автор: Ed Marasco
Принадлежит: Individual

I have invented a tool to enable a golfer to determine his/her TrueAim to the hole when putting. The premise of the invention is that no two sets of eyes see or aim in exactly the same fashion and the device allows the individual golfer to establish and practice his/her TrueAim. The device is designed for a person to practice with and to train the individual to determine the aim of a putt, and then enable the individual to properly align based on that aim determination. Unique features of the device allow the golfer to align to a point within the cup just a few inches in front of the ball, and allows the golfer to align the putter to that spot and thereby align to what the golfer believes is the TrueAim of the putt. After putting the ball from the spot on the tongue of the device, and over the alignment arrow and dot in the round (see D and E in FIG. 2 ) the golfer is able to see the results of his/her TrueAim thereby allowing the golfer to adjust and gauge his/her TrueAim through future trials and adjustments. Through practice, this device allows the golfer to gain confidence in his/her ability to determine each individual's TrueAim when putting and thereby give each person the opportunity to make more putts.

A practice aid for use by a golfer practicing hitting a golf ball (B) out of a sand trap. A disc (D) of predetermined diameter is placed on the top of the sand (S) with its leading edge either touching the underside of the golf ball or resting slightly behind it. When practicing a bunker shot, the golfer swings their club so it enters the sand immediately behind the trailing edge of the disc and passes through the sand beneath both the disc and the golf ball. The force imparted to the sand by the club causes the ball to fly out of the bunker on a cushion of sand. The golf divot simulator apparatus for simulating the making of the divot associated with striking a golf ball with a golf club, when the golf ball is resting on natural grass turf, incorporates a pivoting structure. The pivoting structure, which includes complementary pivot points, allows the apparatus to rotate away from the path of a swinging golf club that makes contact with the apparatus. The pivoting structure comprises a calculated center of gravity for resetting the apparatus to a ready position via the force of gravity. Thus, subsequent to golf-club-induced rotation of the apparatus, gravity-induced counter rotation resets the apparatus for continued use. The apparatus also incorporates a turf covering for blanketing the pivoting structure. The apparatus further incorporates a fastening mechanism for securing the turf covering to the pivoting structure. The result of the apparatus is a self-resetting practice device that simulates the making of a golf divot.
