A handheld pole sander comprising a sanding head (100, figure 2) attached to an elongate body (102) via a pivot mechanism. An electric motor (114, figure 16) is mounted on the sanding head for rotatingly driving an output spindle (118) projecting from a hood (112). The motor is electrically controlled by control electronics 144 mounted adjacent to or in direct contact with a part of the elongate body made from heat conductive material, e.g. aluminium metal tubing. Control electronics housing may be made of thermally conductive material and formed integrally with the heat conductive elongate body part. The control module 144 may be mounted inside aluminium tube 206 where part 270 of the first aluminium tube was removed. Heat generated by control electronics may be transferred to the second aluminium tube 208. Air drawn through the second tube by a vacuum cleaner may cool the control module 144.

Ручки шлифовальной стойки могут перемешаться местами между собой, одна относительно другой на любой угол в горизонтальной плоскости. Рабочий во время работы занимает природное вертикальное положение. Нажатием рук рабочего на ручки управления обеспечивается устойчивость шлифовальной стойки, выбирается путь рабочего инструмента. Для переноски стойки лапы и ручки крепятся к опоре и вкладываются в чехол.Экспериментальные работы с применением шлифовальной стойки показали повышение производительность труда по сравнению с шлифованием УШМ обычным способом в два раза.Работа с применением стойки исключает негативные последствия здоровью рабочего, т.к. не вредит коленям, спине.Полезная модель изготовлена и испытана в ООО «ДИ-СТАР». A sanding tool for removing a raised defect from a painted surface , the sanding tool comprising:a handheld base having a height and comprising an arcuate guide surface that is curved along the height, the guide surface being configured for engagement with the painted surface;an arm mounted on the base for movement along the height of the base with respect to the guide surface through a range of motion, the arm being configured to mount a sanding element having a sanding surface on the arm for movement with the arm with respect to the base, the arm being configured such that the sanding element mounted on the arm is movable with respect to the arm in a sanding motion; anda locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the arm in position with respect to the base at a plurality of positions along the range of motion, wherein the arm is configured to position the sanding element such that the sanding surface has a different offset from the arcuate guide surface along the height of the base at each of the plurality of positions of the arm.2.
