This wagon has a support surface (6) for the workpiece, mounted on an adjustable arrangement for aligning the workpiece. This arrangement includes a lower frame (11) with one end located by a vertical spindle (12) so that it can be swung about a vertical axis. Above this is an upper frame (13) also located by the spindle, for clamping the workpiece (5). The frames are swung by rotating a handwheel (20) projecting sideways, operating a screw and nut drive. Guide runners (17) are located in the space between the upper and lower frames.

The cutting machine is for work (28) with a flat surface, having a frame (10) on which is a tilting guide chassis (14) for a motor driven cutter disc (16). A two part work supporting table (26) has one half (30) hinging on an axis (A) parallel to the plane of the disc with the tilting movement of the chassis and is lockable in position. The table half between disc and chassis is fixed in position, and is flush with the other half when this is horizontal. The tilting movement of the chassis is transmitted by two struts (32), rigidly secured at right angles to the chassis, via a hinge (C) to the hinging table half. In the horizontal position, these are at the ends of the fixed table half. The locking mechanism secures the chassis in position on the frame.

A method of preparing a plurality of workpieces for concurrent cutting using a stone cutting machine is disclosed. In the dividing step, cleaning water including pure water mixed with carbon dioxide is supplied to the front surface of the wafer, and cutting water including pure water alone or pure water mixed with carbon dioxide in a concentration lower than that of the cleaning water is supplied to the cutting blade. During cutting, therefore, the cleaning water and the cutting water are always shielded by each other. Consequently, the cutting blade can be prevented from being corroded or excessively worn due to the cleaning water, and the cutting water can be prevented from contacting the front surface of the wafer to cause electrostatic discharge damage to the devices.

A numeric-control work centre can be used for carrying out cutting operations or grinding and/or milling operations on plates of stone, marble, or, in general, natural or synthetic stone material, or ceramic material. The work centre comprises at least one working head movable along at least two mutually orthogonal horizontal axes on a work surface. The work surface includes a rigid supporting board, which defines a first planar supporting surface, and a series of sacrificial elements rigidly connected to the rigid supporting board. The sacrificial elements are arranged in positions spaced apart from each other and define a second supporting surface located at a higher level than the first planar supporting surface, so that a cutting tool coupled to the working head engraves the sacrificial elements, without interfering with the supporting board during a cutting operation on a plate resting on the sacrificial elements, whichever is the path followed by the cutting tool. Between the sacrificial elements there remain free portions of the planar surface of the supporting board, so that they can be removably engaged by one or more blocks for supporting and holding the plate. These blocks project above the sacrificial elements and are adapted to define a third supporting surface, located at a higher level than the second supporting surface, for supporting and holding a plate during a milling or grinding operation on the plate.

A masonry tool cleaning and storage device may include one or more bins capable of holding water and adapted to hang from the sides of a conventional wheel barrow.
