L'invention concerne un appareil portatif pour le marquage d'une surface, comportant un boîtier (2) présentant une face avant ouverte pour le passage d'un organe de marquage dont le mouvement est assuré par un dispositif de déplacement de l'organe de marquage dans une zone bidimensionnelle de marquage (Z). The invention relates to an apparatus for making relief or indented forms by the use of a tool known as a gouge. This tool, which is of some selected shape, is subjected to repeated blows causing it to penetrate the material, which may be wood, stone, certain soft metals etc. Acting through a gear wheel 3, a motor 1 fixed to a plastic body 19 causes a spindle 4, on which two flyweights 7 and 8 of equal mass are mounted, to spin. The centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the flyweights 7 and 8 is used to produce a rapid and repeated percussion on a hammer 12 which is placed in contact and whose position can be adjusted. When the user exerts pressure on the body 19 of the apparatus in the direction of the incision, the tool penetrates and cuts the material.

The guide is for indelibly marking a rigid surface, such as a car window. A support (1) is made of deformable material and has a central opening (2). On opposite edges are parallel slide rails (3,4) for a succession of stencils (6,7,8) which can move between the rails. The stencils are also of deformable material and can press against the surface to be marked and match any curvature. This allows the use of an engraving tool such as a milling cutter which follows the profile of cut outs in the pockets.
