Disclosed are various embodiments of a tailgate saver system. In one nonlimiting example embodiment, the tailgate saver includes a crossbar, a pair of supports connected to the crossbar, a tightening mechanism attached to the crossbar, and a strap connected to the tightening mechanism. The crossbar may be configured to extend across a width of a bed of a pickup truck and the pair of supports may be configured to insert into, and be held by, the pickup truck's stake pockets. When the pair of supports are inserted in the stake pockets of the bed of the pickup truck the crossbar prevents elongated objects hauled in the bed of the pickup truck from resting on the tailgate thereby allowing the tailgate to be opened and closed. 1. A tailgate saver system , comprising:a crossbar;the crossbar extending a length between opposing ends;a pair of supports connected to the crossbar;the pair of supports extending a length between an upper end and a lower end:a tightening mechanism connected to the crossbar;a strap connected to the tightening mechanism and the crossbar;wherein the crossbar is configured to extend across a width of a bed of a pickup truck having a tailgate and stake pockets;wherein the pair of supports are configured to fit within and be held by the stake pockets of the bed of the pickup truck;wherein when the pair of supports are inserted in the stake pockets of the bed of the pickup truck the crossbar prevents elongated objects hauled in the bed of the pickup truck from resting on the tailgate thereby allowing the tailgate to be opened and closed.2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the strap and tightening mechanism are configured to press the elongated objects against the crossbar.3. In some examples, the crossbar system may include two towers, each coupling an end portion of a crossbar to a truck bed wall. A self-unloading pipe trailer carries a rack of pipe and automatically unloads segments as it moves along a pipeline location. A single operator can maneuver the trailer and operate the unload controls. In unload mode, the operator drives along the pipeline and the trailer unloads the segments automatically. The trailer employs a power pipe rolling assembly that engages with weight-bearing tires in order to translate the distance traveled across the ground to directly power a pipe unloading system such that each foot of ground travel equates to a foot of pipe unloading. If the operator needs to change speed and/or stop, it can be done without modifying the unload mode as the dispensing process automatically responds to the change in speed. There is no complex externally powered unloading system to break-down, lose timing, or otherwise complicate matters. Pipe is simply unloaded automatically as the trailer moves down the pipeline.

An installation apparatus for handling a component of a wind turbine is provided. The installation apparatus includes a base, a support portion and an extensible arm having opposing ends connected to the support portion and the base, respectively. The extensible arm is adapted to move the support portion relative to the base and about a transverse axis of the installation apparatus between a transport position and an installation position. In the transport position the support portion rests on the base. In the installation position the support portion and the base form an angle. An assembly including such an installation apparatus and a method of mounting a wind turbine are also provided.

The blade support apparatus relates to capturing and stabilizing airfoils such as helicopter blades to enable ground transport without requiring removal of airfoils or blades with the blade support apparatus and blades in a protective container. As the transport unit is moved into a position underneath the blade, such that the second wheel base is underneath the blade and the carrying structure is underneath the root support frame, the load from the root end of the blade is distributed between a truck or tractor, which is used for the transport, and the second wheel base, which lowers the axle pressure of the truck or tractor. Moreover, as the carrying structure is underneath the root support frame, only vertical load may be applied from the transport unit, such that forces and torque applied on the blade are substantially decreased compared to the known art.
