A trim panel 3 has an upper portion defining a substantially upright region 9 which may be secured to the pillar by means of adhesive patches 13. The upper portion is connected by an inclined guide region 10 to the upper part of the region 12 that is exposed within the vehicle. The air bag unit is located adjacent the upper region 9 so that on inflation the air bag cannot become caught on the upper part of the exposed trim panel, but is instead deflected into a desired position within the vehicle (see figures 2 and 3). The headlining may be secured to the trim panel by means of adhesive, being adapted to be released upon deployment of the air bag. Also disclosed is a method of mounting such an arrangement.

A roof airbag device for a vehicle , comprising:an outer cushion having, when inflated, a inverted-U shape, a circumferential wall of which extends longitudinally, and including a left wing part and a right wing part, which are oppositely disposed to define a head-receiving region, an upper cushion part connecting the left and right wing parts, and an outlet hole through which an inflation gas from an inflator is flows; andan inner cushion disposed between the left and right wing parts, and having an inlet hole through which the inflation gas is supplied from the outer cushion via the outlet hole of the outer cushion, and a discharge hole through which the inflation gas is discharged to the outside.2. The roof airbag device for a vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the left and right wing parts of the outer cushion is configured to restrain a passenger's shoulders from moving forwards when the outer cushion is inflated claim 1 , and the inner cushion is formed as a single unit that protrudes from a lower side toward an upper side thereof to fill the head-receiving region between the left and right wing parts.3. A curtain airbag for a vehicle , comprising:a series of main chambers formed to flatways cover an inner side structure of the vehicle upon inflation; anda head receiving region formed at a front portion of the curtain airbag concavely upwardly in a length direction of the vehicle to receive a head of an occupant when the head of the occupant comes into contact with a driver seat airbag and slides in a front and lateral directions of the vehicle in an inflated state of the driver seat airbag,wherein the head receiving region has a shape substantially corresponding to a contour of the head of the occupant coming into contact with the head receiving region.2. The curtain airbag of claim 1 , wherein a vertical length of a front end of the curtain airbag is same with a vertical length of a rear end of the curtain airbag claim 1 , and wherein the curtain airbag further comprises a reinforcement means configured to allow a front lower portion of the curtain airbag to come into contact with an inner side structure below a window of the vehicle in an inflated state of the curtain airbag.3. An embodiment of A-Pillar Video Monitor System is provided for a motor vehicle to permit the driver to view traffic conditions (e.g. running children, approaching cars, etc.) from sides of the vehicle. Left or right video cameras are mounted on the left sides or right sides of the motor vehicle. Each camera attachment has a miniature video camera viewing angle directed generally sides, and a housing or shroud that is in the form of an aerodynamic fairing disposed over the associated camera to protect the same and to minimize the amount of protuberance laterally from the side of the vehicle. The fairing also avoids unnecessary airflow turbulence, thereby streamlining the vehicle. The images viewed from these camera assemblies reproduced on a curved viewing screen or monitor, which is seamlessly integrated with A-Pillars of the vehicle. The driver can easily observe the conditions in all sides without having to divert his or her attention from the road ahead. An inflatable curtain airbag assembly for a motor vehicle , the inflatable curtain airbag assembly comprising:an inflatable airbag;a tether having a fixed length between a first end and a second end; andat least one guide member slidably receiving the tether such that the tether has a first adjustable length portion between the first end and the at least one guide member, and a second adjustable length portion between the second end and the at least one guide member,wherein the tether and the at least one guide member cooperate to control positioning of the inflatable airbag upon employment.2. The inflatable curtain airbag assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide member includes a loop.3. The inflatable curtain airbag assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide member is attached to the inflatable airbag.4. The inflatable curtain airbag assembly of claim 3 , wherein the at least one guide member is attached to an outer side of an outboard facing panel of the inflatable airbag.5. The inflatable curtain airbag assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first end of the tether is attached to the inflatable airbag.6.
