A paddle force transfer assembly is provided that is adapted to be installed about an existing canoe bench seat. The assembly secures the thighs of a canoe occupant while providing a foot brace under the seat, whereby the occupant can bear against the thigh supports and the foot brace when exerting force on the canoe paddle in rough water conditions. The thigh supports may be biased to rotate into an upright, open configuration when the user retracts his or her thighs therefrom, whereby the user is not restrained by the supports in a capsizing event. The connector also provides a guide structure which defines a guide cavity arranged to receive the male structure projection when the male structure projection is located within the socket of the carriage structure, the guide cavity defining an entry zone and a compression zone, the entry zone having a diameter greater than the diameter of the male structure projection head and the compression zone having a diameter less than the diameter of the male structure projection head. Movement of the carriage structure relative to the length of the guide cavity from the entry zone to the compression zone compresses at least a portion of the perimeter of the carriage structure socket between the guide structure and the base of the male structure.

The clamps are mounted to the support manually without the use of tools and the clamps each include a mount secured to the rigid screen and a C-shaped, flexible portion connected to the mount and positioned about the support. 1. Hinge Employing a Ratchet for An Upholstery Seat

A hinge and bracket system for a cushion seat back is provided. A bracket is attached to the side of a cushion seat back which is laying flat. The bracket is connected to a rotatable shaft, which in turn is connected to a toothed gear and a pawl. When the cushion seat back is raised upward, the toothed gear and an element of the pawl allow the cushion seat back to ratchet upwards, with the capability to lock the cushion seat back at any tooth. When the cushion seat back is raised above about 90 degrees, the pawl is forced to disengage from the toothed gear and the cushion seat back is unlocked and can be placed back in the original flat position. Described herein is a shock mitigation apparatus. More specifically, a shock mitigation apparatus which relates to a new and improved seating system, such as may be utilised in a marine environment, able to absorb shocks transmitted to the seat system from a structure to which the seat is affixed. The shock mitigation apparatus includes a tuneable spring to alter and/or control flexure within the spring in three planes of movement (longitudinal surge, vertical heave and lateral sway) and axes of rotation (roll, pitch and yaw) depending on occupant and/or particular application. 1. A shock mitigation apparatus including:at least one seat member;at least one base assembly for supporting the at least one seat member;a lower clamp member configured to securely mount to side support members attached to the at least one base assembly;an upper clamp member configured to securely mount to side support members attached to the at least one seat member;at least one leaf spring clamped therebetween the lower and upper clamp members,wherein the at least one leaf spring includes at least one aperture therein configured to tune and control flexure within the at least one leaf spring for shock mitigation in three planes of movement and axis of rotation.2. A seat and seat back assembly includes a seat back moveable between an upright position and a horizontal position. A support panel is connected to the seat back for pivoting movement of the support panel between a first position supporting the seat back upright, and a second position wherein the seat back is moveable into the horizontal position. A biasing mechanism serves to urge the support panel into the first position when the seat back is moved into an upright position. When the support panel is moved into the second position this allows the seat back assembly to move into the horizontal position without dropping unrestricted. 1. A seat back assembly , comprising:(a) a seat back moveable between an upright position and a horizontal position;(b) a support panel connected to the seat back for pivoting movement of the support panel between a first position supporting the seat back upright, and a second position wherein the seat back is moveable into said horizontal position; and(c) a biasing mechanism for urging the support panel into the first position when the seat back is moved into an upright position, and when the support panel is moved into the second position, to allow the seat back assembly to move into the horizontal position with a controlled motion.2. A powerboat seat comprises a removable seat cushion supported on a seat frame. A shock-absorbing device is interposed between the seat frame and the seat cushion such that the shock-absorbing device is supported on the seat frame and the seat cushion is supported on the shock-absorbing device. The shock-absorbing device comprises an upper panel having an external face that engages the seat cushion, a lower panel having an external face that engages the seat frame, a plurality of compression springs constrained between the upper and lower panels and straps connecting the upper and lower panels to constrain the compression springs between them whilst allowing limited relative vertical movement of the upper and lower panels at the front and the back of the panels. A conversion seat for a marine vessel that converts from a lean post configuration to a seat configuration. In a stowed position, the seat is stored vertically exposing a cushion that can be used as a lean post. When a positive lock is released the seat is able to rotate, in some embodiments with an assist from a gas strut, two-hundred and seventy (270) degrees until the seat lands on a horizontal surface. When released, a backrest opens to a desired angle providing a comfortable seat or sun pad. A beverage station includes a tray having holes for supporting containers of various sizes. The largest holes on the outside of the bar are designed to hold larger bottles of liquor or mixers and other non-alcoholic beverages. Each hole can be adjusted down in size using insert reducers to accommodate smaller bottles so they fit snuggly and don't tip over or spill on a rocking boat.
