Prodn. of thermoplastic containers by blow moulding comprises surrounding a tubular preform with a blow mould in which it is blown by introducing a pressure medium, while simultaneously forming handle recesses and handles. Before introducing the preform into the mould, handles with welding lugs are formed from the preforme in a preliminary separate handle mould. These handles are placed in thrust cartridges belonging to the blow mould, and the cartridges are moved into the blow mould while the preform is introduced in its normal length and expanded. These steps are followed by closure of the blow mould, blowing of the container while welding on the handles, and cooling, while new handles for the next container are formed in the handle mould.

Handle assembly for a container

A handle assembly for a container includes a baseplate and a handle portion. A post extends from an arm of the handle portion and is configured to allow the baseplate to be snapped onto the post. In turn, the baseplate may be fastened or otherwise attached to the container. When lifting the container, the handle is rotated from a stored position and mechanically halted in a lifting position with interlocking complementary stops coupled to the handle portion and baseplate, respectively. In one embodiment, the stops include complementarily angled surfaces that are placed in interlocking bearing contact when the handle portion is in the lifting position. A biasing member coupled to the handle portion and engaged with the baseplate biases the handle portion toward the stored position.

Thermal protective sleeve for a drinking cup

An improved thermal protective sleeve is disclosed. The inventive sleeve is for use with drink cups including disposable drink cups for holding hot liquids. The inventive sleeve may be used in the conventional manner of thermal sleeves or it may be manipulated into a handle. The handle allows a user to hold a cup containing hot liquid in a manner that protects the user's hand in a situation where the liquid is so hot that holding the cup normally would be uncomfortable or dangerous.

Caddy and removable mini caddy tote

A tote having both a caddy and a removable mini caddy is disclosed. The removable mini caddy attaches to the caddy with a series of guide walls and guide rails that allow the removable mini caddy to be cooperatively received by the caddy. The handle of the removable mini caddy nests with the handle of the caddy while they are attached, providing the user with a single handled tote that is easy to transport and use while still having the convenience of an extra tote where objects can be temporarily removed and then replaced without the need for transferring the objects from one tote to another. The removable mini caddy may be easily removed and then replaced within the caddy while remaining securely in place during use and transport.

SEALABLE CARTON FOR LIQUID-BASED MATERIALS

A carton for transporting and dispensing liquid-based materials including a sealed base, tapered side panels, and a gable top. The top portion of the carton includes a fold-over flap including a seal to close the carton. The seal is tamper-proof such that, upon reopening the carton, the seal is damaged and reveals evidence of tamper. The carton may be carried using a handle attachable to the top of the carton. 1. TWO-PART HANDLE SYSTEM FOR HORTICULTURAL TRAY

The handle end portions are attached to the tray by separate connectors. The tray has spaced openings to receive the connectors. Each connector has an anchor-shaped section which is received in a tray opening and a section which engages a handle end portion. The anchor-shaped section has arms which flex to permit the connector to be received in the tray opening and thereafter return to their extended position to cooperate with the tray to securely attach the connector to the tray and prevent free rotation of the connector. A hand-held vessel has a bottom wall, a sidewall and a supportive strap attached to the bottom wall and the sidewall. The bottom wall and sidewall have an inner and outer surface. The sidewall extends from the bottom wall, whereby the inner surfaces of the bottom wall and sidewall define a cavity for holding fluids or loose materials therein. The strap has a first end and a second end, whereby the first end is fixedly attached to the sidewall and the second end is selectively secured to the bottom wall. The strap is adaptable to accept a user's hand disposed between the strap and the outer surface of the sidewall. The strap urges the hand against the outer surface of the sidewall to secure the vessel to the hand and stabilize the vessel with respect to movement relative to the hand. 1. Latch Mechanism for Front Opening Lid

A latch with a handle that is elastically biased in the closed position. The latch is attached to the lid via a handle, and when the handle is disengaged from the lid, the latch can be rotated away from the lid. Upon rotating the latch away from the lid, hooks on the latch will disengage with a receiving portion of a case, thereby allowing the lid to be removed from the case. 1. An exemplary container for storing and transporting materials is disclosed. In various embodiments, the exemplary container includes one or more handles for assisting a user with lifting the exemplary container and/or controlling the exemplary container when pouring the exemplary container's contents. The one or more handles, in particular embodiments, are designed for minimum interference with other similar containers during transport. A container case with locking device which allows tool-free unlocking and access includes a top cover having a latching protrusion, a base with sliding top cover, and a handle assembly fixed on the base. A handheld fluid container shaped and configured so that the majority of the fluid volume is carried near the rear of the container where the container is held and supported. In various embodiments, the containers have handle parts and/or handle openings that allow the containers to be manually supported from the rear of the containers. The container bodies also have forward angled front and rear walls and container bottoms shaped so that the majority of the interior volume of the container is located at the rear of the container rather than at the front. The center of gravity of the containers when partially or fully filled with fluid is located near the rear of the container where it is manually supported by the user.

Multi-handled Adaptable Sleeve for Drinking Containers

Aspects of the invention include an improved, adaptable sleeve for attaching at least one handle which can accommodate a range of containers of varying shape, size or material compositions. In certain embodiments, the sleeve has one or more protrusions having ergonomic features to assist holding the container upon which the sleeve is installed. In certain embodiments the sleeve is comprised of an elastomer material. In certain embodiments the sleeve is comprised of an expandable, corrugated sleeve wall to receive, conform and adapt to a range of containers. In certain embodiments the sleeve provides improved grasping and control functionality for infants, and users with limited grasping capabilities due to youth, injury or other impairments or restrictions. Accordingly, in certain embodiments the sleeve is silicone with the protruding elements configured to function both as a grasping and control aid for the container and a safe teething chew accessory for infants.
