An insulated bag for storing ice, where the bag comprises an inner layer of air cellular sheet material, an outer layer of air cellular sheet material, and a barrier sheet between the inner and outer layers of air cellular sheet material. The bag is provided with a sealable opening for inserting and removing ice from the bag. The air cellular sheet material may comprise entrapped air cells or bubbles. Preferably, one side of the air cellular sheet is flat and the other side comprises an array of protuberances formed by the entrapped air cells, where the non-flat sides of the sheets abut the barrier sheet. The barrier sheet may be formed from paper such as Kraft paper. Preferably, the sealable opening comprises a closure of seal, such as a plastic zip fastener or a thistle cloth hook and loop fastener, where the opening may be resealed following removal of contents from the bag.

A plurality of small packages, each for approximately a day's supply of tampons, are provided in an outer carrier box. The tampons in the small packages may be provided in a single row, and may be individually adhered to the bottom of the package. Each small package may be tapered to facilitate insertion of the individual package into a small space, such as a pocket, for discrete storage or carrying. The individual package may be formed with an inner box covered by an outer sleeve movable, like a flap, from the inner box to permit ready access to the contents of the inner box. A closure is provided that is resistant to inadvertent opening. The closure may be specifically configured for a tapered end of a tapered package. The closure may conceal the engaging elements thereof from view to inhibit inadvertent opening of the closure. If desired, a feedback feature, such as an auditory or tactile cue, may be provided by the closure to cue the user that the closure is securely closing the package.

Though there are several different embodiments of biodegradable bags that may be used for the design, this disclosure covers two embodiments: a top-down approach, wherein the bag is sheathed over the tree starting from the top, and a bottom-up one where the trunk fits through an aperture in the bag, and is then cloaked upwards around the tree. In either case, the bag is then sealed and fastened.

The present invention provides an improved flat package of petri dishes and method of producing the same for prolonging shelf life and preservation of sterility of the petri dishes. The flat package is comprised of an optically clear, high-barrier, moisture-, gas- and microbial-resistant pouch. A plurality of petri dishes located adjacent one another are placed in an interior cavity of the pouch, after which the pouch is vacuum-packed, optionally flushed with an inert gas and then heat sealed. The placement and immobilization of the petri dishes in the pouch allow for prolonged shelf life and preservation of sterility, greatly reduced breakage rates, and enhanced visibility of the petri dishes by a user.

A strainable bag with a hook-and-hook closure can include walls formed of a material having multiple layers of polymer or paper or mixtures thereof, and which can include at least one gusset. The hook-and-hook closure allows for liquids or gases to be vented from the bag, as well as for liquids to be removed from the bag interior. The bag can be formed into a full open mouth configuration for ease of filling and ease of dispensing product. Packages for containing consumer goods are disclosed. The consumer goods may be disposable, durable or semi-durable. Absorbent article is one class of disposable articles that may be contained by packages. The packages comprise an opening that is covered by an overlabel. The overlabel is at least partially peeled off of the package so that articles contained within the package can be removed through the now exposed opening. In some embodiments, the package can be reclosed by covering the opening with the overlabel. A consumer may wish to dispose of a used article by placing the article back into the package via the opening and re-adhering the overlabel. 1. A package comprising:a. a package interior;b. a package substrate;c. an opening defined in the package substrate to provide access to the package interior;d. a peelable overlabel affixed to the package substrate to selectively cover the opening and expose the opening, the overlabel comprising opposing first and second edges and opposing third and fourth edges that are situated substantially orthogonal to the first and second edges; ande. adhesive disposed at least partially on a surface of the overlabel facing the package substrate;f. wherein adhesive deadener is applied over portions of the adhesive that is disposed on the second edge;g. wherein the adhesive on each of the third and fourth edges is substantially devoid of adhesive deadener.2. The package of claim 1 , further comprising a tab extending from the second edge to facilitate lifting the overlabel at least partially off of the substrate.3. Compressible bags, towels, blankets, and apparel are disclosed. In one embodiment, a compressible bag includes a generally circular channel on one sidewall. A flexible, elongate member or drawstring extends through the channel and protrudes from an opening in it. The bag can be compressed by folding toward the area defined by the channel and pulling the drawstring, causing the area defined by the channel to be drawn up and around the bag, thereby compressing and encapsulating it. In an alternate embodiment, a channel with a drawstring may extend around the circumference of the bag. Towels, blankets, and apparel according to embodiments of the invention also have a generally circular channel on at least one wall with a flexible, elongate member therein.

An expandable and reusable plastic bag is utilized. The bag is preferably a T-shirt style bag or a drawstring style bag. A temporary adhesive band provides a releasable sealing structure and a tearing structure in a plastic bag. The band can be coextruded with one or more panels of the bag and can be made from a polymer blend. It can have a relatively thick tear section that defines a tear line at a zone of weakness in the bag so that a closed end of the bag can be easily removed. The band also can have a releasable sealing section that remains attached to the bag after the closed end of the bag has been removed by tearing the bag along the tear line so that the bag can be resealed once it has been opened. The releasable sealing section of the temporary adhesive band is preferably made from a coextruded material with tacky properties so that no additional adhesive is required for resealing the bag.

A trash receptacle including a rigid frame that includes a longitudinal member, two side members attached to form on the opposite ends of the longitudinal member. Extending laterally from the two side members are two handles. The rear frame member, the two side members and the two handles are aligned in a same horizontal plane. The two side members and handle are parallel and perpendicularly aligned with the rigid frame's longitudinal member. Attached or formed on the ends of the two side members'are edge capturing structures configured to temporarily hold the rigid frame laterally from the edge of the countertop or work table. In one embodiment, the edge capturing structures are C-shaped brackets configured to slide and extend over the top and bottom surfaces of the countertop or work table. In another embodiment, the edge capturing structures are clamps with two legs that press against the top and bottom surfaces of the countertop or work station. An optional tray that fits over the top surface of the rigid frame may be provided. 1. The present invention is directed toward an improved elastic drawstring for use with a trash bag. The elastic drawstring is comprised primarily of a two-component polyethylene blend. The first polyethylene component is a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density of 0.915 g/cc or less, with a preferred range of between 0.900 g/cc and 0.915 g/cc. In certain preferred embodiments, the density of the first polyethylene component is approximately 0.906 g/cc. The second polyethylene component is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) having a density of between 0.915 g/cc and 0.929 g/cc.
