16,813. Orme, T. A., Stansfield, A., and Meters, Ltd. July 14. Feeding webs. - In apparatus for stopping looms when a predetermined length of fabric has been woven, of the type described in Specification 7550/08, [Class 142, Weaving &c.], a stop n<2>, Fig. 1, carried by a glass cover is set to any desired numeral on a dial n, and the pointer b<1> is rotated to bear against the stop. The pointer is gradually moved back to zero by gearing l<2>, i<1>, h<2>, h<1>, h, Fig. 2, the pinion h being driven from any moving part of the loom. The wheel i<2> is loose on the pointer shaft b, and on one side of it is a disk fixed to the shaft, while on the other is a loose disk, against which bears a plate-spring fixed to the shaft. A key p disposed in a recess of the disk causes the spring and disk to rotate together. When the pointer has returned to zero, a snug m<2> on a lever m drops into a recess k<3> in a disk k<2> fixed to the shaft b, and a cord or the like g, Fig. 7, fixed to the lever moves a lever r into the path of the lay or a part t<1>, and the lever s is actuated to cause the shipper lever t to be thrust out of its notch, as described in Specification 7229/10.
