Способ вязания носков заключается в формировании мысочной части носка, которой укрывают пальцы стопы, цилиндрической формы путем непрерывного вязания либо со стороны части следа, либо со стороны части подъема у другой части. Согласно изобретению при вязании упомянутой части следа и упомянутой части подъема вязание выполняют путем последовательного уменьшения количества петель со стороны мизинца стопы на заданное число петель и после того, как число петель со стороны большого пальца стопы будет уменьшено в пропорции, большей, чем пропорция уменьшения количества петель со стороны мизинца стопы, количество петель прибавляют в той же пропорции. При этом увеличение и уменьшение количества петель со стороны большого пальца стопы тщательно повторяют при минимальной пропорции увеличения-уменьшения.
