A pump for medium consistency suspensions (e.g. 6-15%), such as paper pulp, simultaneously pumps and degasses the suspension. A common shaft mounts a fluidizing impeller and a vacuum pump impeller and a common wall with gas exhaust passageways is disposed between the fluidizing pump housing and vacuum pump housing. Gas separated from the suspension flows through the gas passageways in the common wall, through the vacuum pump, past the vacuum impeller, and is expelled out the opposite side of the vacuum pump from the gas inlet passageways. A pressure responsive valve provides make-up air to the vacuum pump if the vacuum pulled is too strong, to prevent suspension from being pulled through the vacuum pump. A liquid inlet supplies liquid in the vacuum pump to define a liquid ring, the inner periphery of the ring defined by the expelled gas outlet.

The present invention relates to a device for liquid degassing by means of the swirling or the centrifugal field coupled with the pressure gradient field. This device comprises a cavity. The cavity is furnished with an inlet for liquid gas, an outlet for gas phase and an outlet for gas liquid phase. The outlet for gas phase is inserted into the cavity through the upper surface of the cavity, wherein the depth of the insertion is around 0.1-3 times of the maximum diameter of the cavity. A separator for separating wellbore emulsions into liquid and gaseous components has helical emulsion preheat coils encircling a single-cylinder, dual chamber firetube disposed inside a horizontal separator vessel. In use, emulsion enters the preheat coils before entering the separator vessel. The flow of emulsion through the helical coils promotes initial separation of the emulsion by means of heat transfer and centrifugal flow. Resultant centripetal force separates lighter gaseous and liquid particles toward the inside of the helical coils, while heavier emulsion fractions condense toward the outside of the helical coils. 本发明涉及一种利用旋流或离心场与压力梯度场耦合进行液体脱气的装置。该装置包括设有一腔体,该腔体上设有液气进口、气相出口和液相出口,该气相出口从该腔体上表面中心插入该腔体内,插入深度为该腔体最大直径的0.1~3倍,具体而言,该气相出口通过一半径由下至上逐渐变大的溢流管实现,溢流管末端还进一步设置有一喇叭口。本发明的有益效果在于,设计了一深入旋流装置腔体的倒锥形气相出口结构,充分利用了腔体内压力梯度对液体中气体溶解度的影响,将离心场及压力梯度场有机结合在一起,在脱除液体夹带气的同时可脱除在入口分压下的溶解气。

Apparatus for relieving blockage of the pulp discharge passage in a cyclone separator included in a pulping system. The pulp stock is treated in an environment of superatmospheric steam and discharged together with the steam into the separator cyclone. The separated processing steam is evacuated from the cyclone while the steam liberated pulp stock is propelled through a throat which tapers towards the discharge valve by a screw conveyor whose flights are contoured to rotate snugly within the tapered throat. The discharge valve is controlled to maintain a predetermined rate of discharge and a predetermined superatmospheric pressure within the cyclone to allow evacuation of steam therefrom. The shaft of the screw conveyor is reciprocally mounted in the cyclone to allow the screw flights to yield in response to a predetermined excessive thrust resulting from compacted pulp stock blocking the throat, to provide a by-pass between the screw flights and the throat wall and thereby relieve the blockage. The invention may also include sensor means for controlling the rate of discharge in response to variations in thrust on the compacted pulp stock by the screw conveyor.

As it feeds to the headbox, The mixture is de-gassed by an assembly (6) operated at a pressure at least 0.2 bar above the vapor pressure of the liquid. After passing through the de-gassing station (6) the fibrous suspension (S) passes through a pump (9) to the headbox (1). The de-gassing station is located immediately before the pump. The process has a throughput of about 5000 liters/min.
