The invention relates to a door drive for a motor vehicle door or motor vehicle flap. This is generally provided with an electromotive drive (2) and a transmission (3, 4) connected downstream of the drive (2). According to the invention, the toothing (6, 7, 8) is formed in two parts for engaging both into the force transmission element (5) and into a compensation element (9) that is rotatably, elastically coupled to the force transmission element (5). For play-free positioning, the compensation element (9) has a differing angular velocity from the force transmission element (5) in order to create a relative angle (α1 - α2) between the two elements (5, 9).

COVER PLATE FOR ACCESS OPENING A cover plate is provided for an access opening in a plate structure that forms part of a housing. The cover plate has a rod at one end thereof that has opposite ends bent toward the plate structure and engaging the internal surface of the plate structure. The plate structure also has lips thereon that engage the internal surface of the plate cover and limit movement of the plate structure to a position in which its edges are co-extensive with the edges of the opening. A further means is provided between the plate structure having the opening and the cover plate which draws the cover plate into engagement with the stops or lips while, at the same time, distorting or stressing the rod as the rod end of the cover is forced into the closed position. By placing such stress on the rod, the entire plate cover is held firmly against the lips and is prevented from rattling or becoming loose.

A gate adjustment system has a bull-nose glide, a flat glide, a plurality of spacers, a gap size gauge, and a gap adjustment wedge. The glides are attached to the latch post and the latch side of a gate opposite one another. As the gate is shut, the bull-nose portion of the bull-nose glide impacts the rounded edge of the flat glide. The two curved surfaces allow the impact force to cause the gate to be lifted and pushed back into alignment. The gap adjustment wedge can be positioned between the top of the latch side and the latch post and pushed downwards into the gap until the gap is uniform from the top to the bottom. The gap size gauge then measures the size of the gap and that measurement is used to determine which of the plurality of spacers should be installed with the glides.

Embodiments described herein generally relate to a vehicle door glass damping system that functions like a clamp along a perimeter of a door glass when the door glass is in a closed position. The system includes an actuator assembly having a motor housing and a plunger. A plurality of actuator assemblies may be provided about the perimeter of the door glass at multiple locations.
