Field of InventionThe Bartons Float Generator is a device which is generated toward the art of generating alternative energy using water currents, water waves or water elevation changes.Description of related artCurrently the state of this art is there are very few devices devoted to the art of alternative energy that are efficient, effective and practical. The purpose of the Bartons Float Generator is to provide alternative energy that is effective, efficient and practical. Unlike other devices that generate electrical power from water currents, water waves or water elevation changes, The Barton Float Generator uses multiple linear motions to generate electrical energy. Other devices that use these methods, only generate an electrical charge when a particular motion is generated. For example, these devices rely on an elevation rise or a wave to positively change the elevation of the device to generate an electrical charge; if there is a negative elevation change in the water the device does nothing. This makes them ineffective and not versatile, where the Barton Float Generator can generate an electrical charge in a positive or negative change. The Barton Float Generator does not use motors, gears or dangerous chemicals making the Barton Float Generator cleaner safer and more cost effective while maintaining efficiency and practicality. A hinge system and method for an Articulated Wave Energy Conversion System (AWECS) that provides for hinge and piston pump displacements due to multi-axis forces in allowing adjacent barges of the AWECS to pivot with respect to one another due to wave motion. The hinge system uses a plurality of parallel hinges, and axle segments, coupled between adjacent barges wherein the hinges are coupled to upright trusses positioned transversely along facing edges of each barge. Hinge bracing includes lower V-shaped struts that act as lower stops when the barges pitch up and also include upper struts that act as upper stops when the barges pitch down. The pumps are positioned in parallel. The pumps have special couplings such as ball joint couplings that permit motions other than longitudinal pump/ram motions due to multi-axis forces generated by the wave motion and thus provide omni-directional stress relief to the pumps.

WAVE-ENERGIZED DIODE PUMP

Номер: US20200271087A1
Принадлежит:

Disclosed is an apparatus that floats at the surface of a body of water over which waves pass. Passing waves cause a nominally vertical axis of the apparatus to tilt away from an axis normal to the resting surface of the body of water. Tilting of sufficient magnitude and duration allows a fluid to flow through a channel that in an un-tilted apparatus would require the gravitational potential energy of the fluid to increase (i.e., to flow uphill), but, because of the tilt allows the fluid to flow through the channel in a downhill direction. Flowing water is trapped at a plurality of levels which in an un-tilted apparatus are higher than the respective levels from which the fluid has flowed. A subsequent tilt of the apparatus in a sufficiently different direction, and of a sufficient magnitude and duration, causes the trapped water to flow to new, yet higher levels. Successive wave-driven tilts of the apparatus incrementally raise water to a height and/or head from which a portion of its gravitational potential energy can be released, and/or converted to electrical power, by causing the water to return to a lower level by flowing through a water turbine thereby energizing an operationally connected generator, or through some other apparatus that performs a useful function when supplied with a flow of high-pressure water. 1.
