A method for producing a single-clad or multiple-clad product includes providing a welded assembly comprising a cladding material disposed on a substrate material. Both the substrate material and the cladding material are individually selected alloys. At least a first edge of the cladding material of the welded assembly does not extend to a first edge of the substrate material and thereby provides a margin between the first edges. A material that is an alloy having hot strength greater than the cladding material is within the margin and adjacent the first edge of the cladding material. The welded assembly is hot rolled to provide a hot rolled band, and the material within the margin inhibits the cladding material from spreading beyond the edge of the substrate material during the hot rolling. In certain embodiments of the methods, the substrate material is stainless steel and the cladding material is nickel or a nickel alloy. 1. A scaffolding clip and a scaffolding clip applicator tool are provided for fastening a web, such as a retaining mesh, to a scaffolding pole. During use a preferred method includes holding the fastening clip with the applicator, locating the web between the pole and the fastening clip, piercing the web with opposed ends of the clip and disengaging the applicator from the clip. In order to subsequently remove the clip from the pole a loop of the clip is engaged by a catch of the applicator and levered from the pole with a heel of the applicator that extends from opposite the catch and acts as a fulcrum. 1. This can reduce worker injury with a thin sheet metal or plastic, broadly U-shaped guard plate attached to a structural support through attachment to a pair of clamps, each with a primary and a secondary threaded clamp mechanism. The primary mechanism has a swivel pad end while the secondary clamps have a pointed, cone-shaped end. A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame, a powered drive, and a drive coupler. The frame includes a drive housing and a handle to be grasped by a user, with the handle being configured to facilitate manual advancement of the concrete screed in the forward direction. The handle and the drive housing are pivotally attached relative to each other so that the handle is swingable relative to the drive housing about a pivot axis that is transverse to the forward direction. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and includes a rotatable drive shaft. The drive coupler is attached to the drive shaft and is removably attachable to the connection shaft of a rotatable concrete forming drum so that rotation of the drive shaft is imparted to the connection shaft. The drive coupler is configured to align the drive and connection shafts on a common rotation axis without permitting off-axis swinging of the shafts relative to one another, such that swinging of the drive housing relative to the drum is at least substantially restricted. 1.
