The projection 19 may be forced into the recess when it is made of rubber or similar material, or the actuator member may be made in two parts 12 hinged together and to the spindle 17 by a pin 16 so that by removing the cover 15 and actuating mechanism and moving the actuator outwardly from the cover the members 12 may be moved apart to insert the head 19 in the recesses thereof. The outside surfaces of the members 12 are shaped so that when withdrawn into the cover 15 they are caused to move together by contact with the cover to grip and compress the head 19. A diaphragm is held between a valve plug and a holder member, at a central portion of the valve mechanism. An outer marginal portion of the diaphragm is held between the body and the bonnet. A pilot channel through which a communication chamber in the body and a pilot chamber in the bonnet communicate with each other is formed in the valve plug. A first hole communicating with the pilot channel is formed at a central portion of the diaphragm. Pressurized fluid in the communication chamber flows into the pilot chamber through the pilot channel and the first hole to thereby bias the valve plug toward a valve seat, by the pressure of the pressurized fluid in combination with an elastic force of a spring. 1. A diaphragm valve with an assembly or cartridge that facilitates replacement of the diaphragm, the valve seat or both. The assembly may be a valve assembly having a diaphragm, a seat carrier and a valve seat that are combined into a discrete subassembly or cartridge for a diaphragm valve. The assembly as a discrete cartridge can be easily removed and replaced in order to change out the diaphragm or the valve seat or both. In one embodiment, the diaphragm has a perimeter that is welded to one side of the seat carrier. A dust collector diaphragm valve capable of performing manual emergency operation according to the present invention is configured to perform control so that the internal equal pressure of the diaphragm valve can be broken due to an internal pressure drop attributable to an instantaneous air discharge occurring whenever an emergency operation switch is manually pressed when a pulse operation signal or solenoid valve used to operate the diaphragm valve fails, and thus a rubber plate installed between the body and cover of the diaphragm valve can be turned (moved forward) after being instantaneously moved backward. Accordingly, dedusting work can be manually performed according to the determination of a manager, and thus the dust collector diaphragm valve can prevent an emergency shutdown during the operation of a dust collector and can also prevent a filter from reaching a limit differential pressure, thereby preventing the lifespan of the filter from being shortened. 1. A diaphragm-type control valve having a diaphragm and a valve body is provided preferably for use in the separation of and fluid control between a fluid source and a pressurized gas volume. The diaphragm element and a port in the body together form an intermediate chamber that eliminates the need for a check-valve downstream of the valve. In one preferred embodiment, an inner surface of the valve body defines a chamber having an inlet and an outlet in communication with the chamber, and an elongated seat member defining a groove in communication with the port. A diaphragm member having upper and lower surfaces is disposed within the chamber. The lower surface preferably includes a pair of spaced apart elongated members defining a channel therebetween. The diaphragm member engages the seat member placing the channel in communication with the groove to define an air seat in communication with the port.
