Methods and a system for a natural language control interface are provided to enable a user to modify colors in a digital image. A textual interface is provided to select a color to be modified within the image and a direction of change for the modification. A swipe interface is provided to select a magnitude and polarity for the modification. Actions on the textual and swipe interface are converted to natural language commands which are in turn used to derive a color transformation that is applied to relevant portions of the image to yield a modified image. The modifications are displayed in real time for a user to observe as they are inputted.

The connection points of these identified links are repositioned based on this determined order. By only repositioning the connection points to the node involved in the editing interaction instead of rerouting all of the links in the diagram area, the processing time is improved. Furthermore, by repositioning the connection points that were superimposed so that they are spaced apart based on the coordinates of the links' bend point and/or opposite end point, it is easier to distinguish between the different links.

A location corresponding to the projection on the three-dimensional model is determined, and content entered by the user while viewing the first image is associated with the location. The content is stored together with the location information to form an annotation. The annotation can be retrieved and displayed together with other images corresponding to the location.

In another embodiment, the luminance of group of adjacent pixels is determined and the luminance of the group is made more homogenous spatially and temporally by distributing color variations over a larger number of pixels so as to reduce the luminance difference between the pixel with the least luminance and the pixel with the greatest luminance. Individual color components (e.g., red, green, blue) may also be separated and used so that the color-shifts associated with each color component may be simultaneously present in different pixels.

The bins are defined by ranges, so every image in the raw 3D data set is included in a bin. Since binning in this manner often results in two or more images per bin, the 4D reconstruction is determined by selecting one 3D image from each bin at each patient position. This selection is performed so as to maximize the anatomical similarity of 3D images at adjacent patient positions. In cases where the 3D images include multiple slices, a 2D comparison of the closest slices can be used to determine anatomical similarity of the 3D images.

When the data for a given sampling position stored in the tile buffer is modified as a result of the overlay image, a corresponding dirty bit for the tile region that the sampling position falls within is set (step 45 ). Then, when all the rendering for the tile has been completed, the dirty bits are examined to determine which regions of the tile have been modified (step 46 ). The modified tile regions are written back to the output image in the frame buffer in the main memory (step 47 ), but any regions whose dirty bits have not been set are not written back to the frame buffer in the main memory.
