As to generate shadows in an image, the method comprises the steps of: Computing a depth-map that comprises an array of pixels, wherein pixels in the depth-map are associated to a single value corresponding to depth value that indicates a depth from a light source to a portion of nearest occluding object visible through the pixel, projecting a point visible through a pixel of said image into a light space, the result of said projection being a pixel of said depth-map, calculating a distance between the said visible point and the light source, fetching the depth value associated to said pixel of depth-map, computing, for said pixel of said image, an adaptive bias as a function of a predetermined base bias and a relationship between the normal of a surface on which the said visible point is located and incident light direction at said visible point, comparing for said pixel in the image, the distance between said visible point and the light source with the sum of the corresponding depth map value and said adaptive bias, labelling said point visible through said pixel as lit or shadowed according to said comparison.

Полезная модель относится к области построения синтезированных изображений и может быть использована для повышения ситуационной осведомленности пилота и принятия им решений по изменению траектории полета летательного аппарата. В блоке регистрации изображений исходные изображения от телевизионной, тепловизионной камер и радара объединяются и передаются в блоки сегментатор и совмещение. В блоке сегментатор, выполненном по пирамидальной схеме, производится сегментация соответствующего уровня дерева изображений с помощью многомерной нейронной карты Кохонена, а результат передается в блок классификатор. В блоке классификатор, состоящем из нейронных сетей прямого распространения без обратных связей, обучение которых выполняется с помощью генетического алгоритма с использованием грамматик графовой генерации Китано для кодирования структуры сети, производится классификация объектов изображения и результат передается в блок визуализации. В блоке совмещение производится совмещение трехмерной модели местности и комплексного изображения, полученного путем комплексирования различных спектральных каналов друг с другом, и результат - синтезированное изображение передается в блок визуализация. В блоке визуализация упорядочиваются результаты совмещения и классификации накладыванием их друг на друга и формированием улучшенного изображения передаваемого по шине Ethernet на дисплей системы улучшенного видения. In one embodiment, a method includes distributing rendering tasks to connected client nodes having capable graphics processing units by transmitting viewport state data objects and a unique spatial location to each of the clients, performing path tracing at each of the clients from the starting point of their unique spatial locations, and transmitting their rendered output back to the server. The server generates a composite rendered output from the individual rendered outputs received by the participating clients, and then transmits the composite to all connected clients for display. Thus, as the number of client nodes increases, the scene is rendered more rapidly and at higher quality. In particular embodiments, the rendered output is a lightmap representing the diffuse lighting for the scene, and each client may render the scene's specular highlights from its own viewport.

The fragment processing pipeline of a graphics processing core has an associated occlusion query cache that is used to maintain a set of local occlusion counters .
