A plurality of electrically isolated pixels can be embedded in the photoconductive surface. The antenna can further include a processor with computer software incorporated to manipulate the light source to selectively illuminate the surface matrix in a predetermined pattern. As the surface matrix becomes illuminated, the illuminated portion of the matrix surface electrically connects the pixels, resulting in the desired radiation pattern. The software can be manipulated to further manipulate the light source to change antenna frequency, gain and bandwidth parameters, as desired by the user. Similarly, the pixels can be selectively illuminated to cause a desired radiation pattern, such as circular, sector scan or raster patterns.

GROUND NETWORK FOR END-TO-END BEAMFORMING

Номер: US20200235805A1
Принадлежит:

Methods and systems are described for providing end-to-end beamforming. For example, end-to-end beamforming systems include end-to-end relays and ground networks to provide communications to user terminals located in user beam coverage areas. The ground segment can include geographically distributed access nodes and a central processing system. Return uplink signals, transmitted from the user terminals, have multipath induced by a plurality of receive/transmit signal paths in the end to end relay and are relayed to the ground network. The ground network, using beamformers, recovers user data streams transmitted by the user terminals from return downlink signals. The ground network, using beamformers generates forward uplink signals from appropriately weighted combinations of user data streams that, after relay by the end-end-end relay, produce forward downlink signals that combine to form user beams.

Technology for standardizing an antenna design for a computing device includes an antenna element in the shape of an object that is commonly useful with multiple, different computing products. For example, in one embodiment the antenna element is a bracket for holding a stylus or other object within a stylus chamber that is associated with the computing device. The dimension and composition of the antenna remain relatively constant to provide a consistent radiation pattern requiring little or no redesign when implemented across the different products, since it may be placed at an edge of a device, by a stylus holder, or similar, common location that is a distance from a ground plane and device circuitry.

Beamformer for end-to-end beamforming communications system

Номер: US20190109635A1
Принадлежит: Viasat Inc

SMALL CELL POLE ANTENNA CONFIGURATION

Номер: US20200185823A1
Принадлежит:

The present disclosure is directed to small cell poles that are configured for use in urban environments. In various implementations, the small cell poles have a configuration similar to existing utility poles, which minimizes their aesthetic obtrusiveness. In order to reduce the size of an antenna structure of such a small cell pole, implementations utilizes antennas that are vertically stacked, which permits an antenna structure of a small cell pole to have a reduced width. In various implementations, one or more antennas are vertically stacked within a spatial envelope of a pole. For instance, one or more antennas may be disposed within the interior of a pole such that a resulting cell ole is similar in appearance to a utility pole. 1. (canceled)2. ACCESS NODE FARM FOR END-TO-END BEAMFORMING

Номер: US20190190590A1
Принадлежит: VIASAT, INC.

1. Принадлежит: WINEGARD COMPANY

A stackable antenna enclosure is generally dome-shaped with a top and a side wall tapering inward from its base. An antenna and associated electronic components are mounted on the interior top surface of the enclosure. A series of enclosures can be stacked together for storage or shipment, but the side wall of the enclosure includes a number of stops that limit how far the enclosure can be inserted into the interior cavity of an adjacent enclosure to prevent the antenna and related electronic components from coming into contact with the top of the adjacent enclosure. For example, the stops can be a series of vertical ribs extending radially outward from the side wall of the enclosure. The upper ends of these ribs will abut the base of an adjacent enclosure when stacked and prevent contact against the antenna and related electronic components. 1. A stackable antenna enclosure comprising:a base;a top with an interior surface;a side wall with interior and exterior surfaces tapering inward from the base to the top to define an interior cavity;at least one stop extending from the side wall; andan antenna housed within the interior cavity adjacent to the interior surface of the top;wherein a plurality of enclosures can be stacked together with the at least one stop limiting insertion of a first enclosure into the interior cavity of an adjacent second enclosure, thereby preventing the top of the first enclosure from contacting the antenna within the second enclosure.2. The stackable antenna enclosure of wherein the at least one stop extends outward from the exterior surface of the side wall.3. The stackable antenna enclosure of wherein the at least one stop comprises a number of vertical ribs spaced around the exterior of the side wall adjacent to the base.4.
