Fuel dispensing apparatus comprises an overhead boom that is swingable to a number of car servicing positions at a filling station and carries at least one hose and nozzle therefor, pre-settable volume control mechanism, e.g. as described in Specification 937,257, located at or near the hose and nozzle, and a metering device responsive to the control mechanism. As shown, a boom 19 comprising two hollow arms 19a is pivoted on a bracket 21 on a mast 9 and is furnished at its free end with a block 19b carrying a spring-loaded triangle 23 with two hoses 24 and nozzles 25 for different grades of petrol. The free end of the boom 19 is supported by a traveller 17 from a semicircular rail 16 on a semicircular cowling 15 carried by guys 13, 14 from yards 10, 11, 12 extending horizontally from mast 9. A second boom 20 pivoted on bracket 22 is similarly constructed. Car illuminating means 4 operated by a tread switch as described in Specification 937,255 is provided at each parking position.
