Реферат: An extrusion moulding machine comprises a pressure-responsive device 27 adjacent the extrusion orifice and a valve 4 having a baffle 8 situated in the flow path of plasticized material and drivingly coupled to a diaphragm 20, forces on the diaphragm due to the baffle being counteracted by compressed gas delivered via conduit 23, an electrically controlled pressurecontrol system coupled with device 27 regulating the supply of compressed gas so as to tend to keep the sensed pressure constant. Baffle 8 is coupled to diaphragm 20 via a silicone grease plug which coacts with a piston 18 in a cylinder 17. In operation, device 27 converts pressure values into electrical signals which are conveyed to electromagnetic switches 30, Fig. 2, the sensing of a sufficiently high pressure creating an electric signal sufficient to operate the switches and to change the feed of compressed gas to conduit 23 from path a to path b. Valves 35, 36 are set at different values, valve 36 allowing a lower pressure to exist above diaphragm 20 which results in a rise of piston 18 and such movement is transmitted to baffle 8 by the silicone grease plug in conduit 10 to thereby reduce the flow of material to the extrusion orifice. Additionally a valve oscillator 24 is provided which maintains a relative high frequency, e.g. 30-60 c.p.m., but low amplitude gas pressure change, e.g. 0À1-0À2 atmos. above diaphragm 20. Such oscillation is transmitted to baffle 8 whose responsivity is thereby increased. Downstream of the die orifice is affixed, via a heat insulating ring 13, a cooling and sizing device 14, 15, Fig. 1. A grease gun 25, 26 communicates with conduit 10. The extrusion of one or more bars and sheets is mentioned with, in the case of a sheet, the possible use of a plurality of baffles 8. Polyamide resin is mentioned as an example of extrudable material.
