The viewer- and controller-module further comprises a controller module for generating the GUI, and a transaction module responsive to user input to query the API interface module to obtain data required to implement user provisioning requests in the viewer-and-controller module to create a new or modified user profile. The transaction module further includes a command module for sending commands as normalized data to the provisioning module to implement the new or modified user profile in the one or more virtual PBX's via the wrapper module.

Efficient processing and/or routing of emergency calls in an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) for VoIP (Voice over IP) subscribers can be enabled. In one aspect, an E911 profile is generated, for example, by an application server, for each VoIP subscriber based in part on current location information associated with the subscriber, such as, the subscriber's IP address. The E911 profile is pushed to the HSS (Home Subscriber Server) of the IMS. The E911 profile can then be stored in the HSS and can be queried by an E-CSCF (Emergency Call Session Control Function) during emergency call processing. Moreover, when an emergency call is received from the subscriber, the E-CSCF can retrieve the E911 profile associated with the subscriber from the HSS and route the call to an appropriate PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) based on an analysis of the information in the E911 profile.

A system for exchanging GPS or other position data between devices for purposes of group activities, child location monitoring, work group coordination, dispatching of employees etc. Cell phones and other wireless devices with GPS receivers have loaded therein a Buddy Watch application that communicates with a remote Buddy Watch Server. The server gets or maintains position data for the wireless devices. When the server receives a request from a first device to set up a temporary position-sharing relationship between it and a second device, the server facilitates symmetrical position sharing between the two devices. While the relationship is active, the server can receive updated position data from one or both devices, and if necessary calculate or recalculate a path based on the updated data. The server can also alert one of the devices should the other move too close to or too far from a specified location. The request message or messages used to establish the temporary position-sharing relationship may include a timeout specifying when the server is to sever the position-sharing relationship.

User devices configured to select subsets of network identities and network devices configured to deliver messages based on those subsets are described herein. The user devices each receive multiple network identities for a service account, select a subset of the network identities based on preferences, and provide the selected subset to the telecommunication network in message headers. The preferences indicate network identities for which a user wishes the user device to receive communications. A network device receives and caches the subsets. The network device further utilizes the subsets in determining which user device to deliver messages to.

Communication systems and methods are described that include call notification with rich caller identification. Components of the communication systems are configured to receive a call for a user via an enterprise voice channel. A call request is automatically generated in response to event data of the received call. The call request includes caller data from enterprise databases or directories. The caller data provides identifying information of the caller to the user via the call request. The call request can include response options by which the user can participate in the call. The call request is routed to a target device of the user via a data channel of the host enterprise. The target device provides the user with multiple action or response options via the call request. The response options include for example accepting the call, delaying the call, forwarding the call, ignoring the call, and ignoring the caller.

A network node, method, and mobile terminal for providing circuit-switched (CS) voice calls to a mobile terminal operating in a packet-switched (PS)-only network. A control node such as an EPC node in an SAE/LTE PS-only network is modified to mimic the messaging functionality of a Serving GPRS Service Node (SGSN). The EPC node is connected to an MSC/VLR in a CS network through a Gs interface. The EPC node registers the terminal with the MSC/VLR and provides a VLR TMSI to the terminal. When the MSC/VLR receives an incoming CS voice call for the terminal, the MSC/VLR notifies the EPC node, which sends a paging message to the terminal. To set up the CS voice call, the terminal sends a paging response directly to the MSC/VLR. 1. A method in a mobile terminal of receiving a circuit-switched (CS) voice call when the mobile terminal is operating in a packet-switched-only wireless telecommunication network , said method comprising:receiving a paging request message from the packet-switched-only network;determining whether the paging request message is an invitation to participate in a data session in the packet-switched-only network, or is an invitation to accept an incoming CS voice call through a Mobile Switching Center/Visitor Location Register (MSC/VLR);upon determining that the paging request message is an invitation to participate in a data session in the packet-switched-only network, utilizing a packet-switched communication protocol stack in the mobile terminal to transmit a response to a control node in the packet-switched-only network; andupon determining that the paging request message is an invitation to accept an incoming CS voice call, utilizing a circuit-switched communication protocol stack in the mobile terminal to transmit a response directly to the MSC/VLR.2.
