In one embodiment, the latching means is a unitary, multi-segmented structure having a spring biasing member and a retaining member formed integrally therewith. A journal formed integrally with the latching means is adapted to be received in a bearing defined in a latch socket on the lid, such that the latching means is allowed to pivot with respect to the lid. The spring biasing member functions to bias the latching means to a home pivot position, such that the latching means automatically engages the powerhead when it is lowered onto the lid. A cabinet includes a frame portion and a door hingedly connected to the frame portion. A member is rigidly connected to the door and includes a flange portion extending from and spaced apart from an outer surface of the door. A computer case is disclosed that allows a user to open and close the case without the use of special tools or screws. Instead, a user simply slides two sliders on the cover of the case towards each other and simply lifts up the front portion of the cover to gain access to the interior of the case. The slider is monolithically integrated to a latch. The latch contains two spaced-apart arms about a recess. One of the arms of the latch is arcuate so as to guide a portion of the base and a portion of a cover that are slightly separated into the recess so that both portions are mated snugly preventing inadvertent opening of the case. This snug mating can be accomplished by simply sliding a pair of slider in the proper directions. To disengage the cover from the base, the sliders are slid in the opposite directions releasing a portions of the base from contact with a portions of the cover. When the case is released, the front of the cover can be lifted up. A pair of hinges in the rear of the case allow the front of the case to be pivoted open while preventing the cover from being completely detached from the base.

A portable computing device, including a latch apparatus and system, may include a rotatable high wear plastic oversnapping arm, a pivot portion on the portable computing device, and an enclosure door with a geometric mating feature. The oversnapping arm may be configured to rotate 90° about the pivot portion to snap over the geometric mating feature and secure the enclosure door in a closed, latched position. As the oversnapping arm is rotated downward, its progress may be frictionally impeded by the geometric mating feature. Window opener and latch

A latch for a two-panel window is disclosed. After a base element is affixed to a movable window panel, a latch mounting platform and a swing arm are slid over the base. The swing arm can be pivoted out of latching engagement with a fixed mullion by operator finger pressure on a swing arm leg. The swing arm is biased into a latching position and is limited in its pivoting motion by hooked stops protruding through the mounting platform to the platform underside.

Apparatus for separably connecting a portable source of supply of hot air and a hair grooming implement holder together, wherein the source includes a housing, and the holder includes a housing adapted to carry a hair grooming implement and guide hot air from the source laterally of the the implement. The connecting apparatus comprises: an L-shaped latch, one leg of which is slidably mounted in a passageway formed in one of the housings, and the other leg of which is positioned to internally overlap a portion of the other housing when the housings are brought together for connection; a leaf spring connected to the one housing to contact the latch for resiliently loading the latch in the passageway; and a keeper cavity formed in the other housing for receiving the other latch leg. The spring resiliently loads the latch for forcing the other latch leg into the cavity to connect the housings together, and the latch is manually movable against the spring load to enable the housings to be separated. Also, the spring acts as a stop to limit the travel of the latch so as to prevent the spring from being overstressed.

Gate latch

The present invention relates to a gate latch comprising an integrated latch/handle assembly, a mounting bracket, a return spring and a flat head shoulder bolt. The integrated latch/handle assembly is a flat bar section comprised of various radiused and right angled bends allowing the assembly to wrap around the leading edge of the fence gate with one of the bends forming the actual latch bolt. The ends of the assembly are bent to form handles which operate the mechanism, the handles having radiused ends. The mounting bracket is a flat steel bar section with two holes provided for attaching the bracket to the gate. The return spring is held in place by the shoulder bolt which attaches the handle assembly, mounting bracket and spring firmly together.

A latch for a cabinet door or drawer for preventing access to the interior of the cabinet or drawer. The latch includes a hook (14) spring biased to engage a catch (L) and that allows the door (D) or drawer to be only slightly opened enough to allow a caregiver to reach the latch and displace it out of the way so that the door (D) or drawer can then be fully opened. When released the latch returns to the biased position. The latch may also disengage the spring so as to be fully disabled and allow the door or drawer to be opened freely.

The latch has a retention feature and a first reference surface that is perpendicular to the planar portion of the lid. There is a latch mechanism coupled to the housing that has an engagement element configured to engage the retention feature of the latch and a first alignment feature having a first alignment surface. The first alignment feature is configured to laterally displace the latch in a first direction such that the first reference surface aligns with the first alignment surface when the lid is brought together with the housing with the fastener laterally displaced away from the engagement element in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction.

Daher kann er bzw. sie durch eine stabile bzw. starke Pufferkraft geschützt werden, wenn ein Fußgänger von einem Automobil erfasst wird. Zusätzlich kann die Sicherheitshaken-Struktur leicht gefertigt werden durch eine vereinfachte Konstruktion des Sicherheitshakens, der die Herstellungskosten reduzieren kann.
