The invention relates to a multipurpose hand device especially comprising utensils. A lift and/or release mechanism (88, 89) is assigned to said utensils (81), enabling them to be placed in a slightly raised position so that they can be grasped easily or locked in a swing-out position.

Multipurpose handheld implement comprising a plurality of fold-out utensils (81) rotatable out of a folded-in storage position into a folded-out working position about a rotation axis (82) running transversely to the folding direction, the utensils (81) in their storage position, being substantially accommodated by the multipurpose handheld implement, characterized in that a common lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) acting on at least two of the fold-out utensils (81) and actuatable by at least one actuating member (88) being actuatable from the exterior is provided, the utensils (81) being liftable by the lifting device into such a position that they can be manually grasped and decoupled from the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91), moved into a folded-out working position, wherein the lifting height of the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) is limited to a range of a restoring spring force biasing the utensils (81) into the folded-in position, so that the utensils (81) not folded out into the working position fold back into their storage position when the actuating member (88) is released.

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that each utensil (81) is biased into the storage position by a leaf spring (83, 83k) operative on the shank portion of the utensil (81).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) is operative on the shank portions of the utensils (81) in fold-out direction.

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) staggers the utensils (81) during lifting.

Mulltipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that cams are arranged on the shank portions of the utensils (81) at different distances from the rotation axis (82), a lifting plate (91) being operative in an inclined manner on the cams during actuation of the lifting device (87,87a, 89, 90, 91).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the actuating member (88) is a pivotable actuating lever.

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that the rotation axis (82) of the actuating lever (88) is spaced apart from the rotation axis (82) of the utensils (81).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that the actuating lever (88) is mounted at a spindle (86) disposed behind the free end of the folded-in utensils (81).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 6 to 8, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) comprises a transmission mechanism (87, 87a, 89, 90) disposed laterally of the utensils (81) for transmitting the movements of the actuating lever (88) to a lifting plate (91) arranged beneath the shank portions of the utensils (81).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 9, characterized in that two actuating levers (88) and transmission mechanisms (87, 87a, 89, 90) functioning in the same manner, one each on each side of the utensils (81), are provided in symmetrical arrangement, which commonly operate on the lifting plate (91).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 9, characterized in that the actuating lever (88) and/or corresponding parts of the transmission mechanism (87,87a, 89, 90) are connected to one another via connecting members (82, 84, 86, 89b, 91).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) is force-transmitting.

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claims 2 to 12, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) comprises a spring relief device (89, 89a, 89b) for relief of the spring bias operative on the leaf springs (83, 83k) during lifting of the utensils (81).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 13, characterized in that a locking device (83, 83k) for locking at least one utensil (81) in its working position is provided, the deactivation of the locking device being accomplished by actuating the actuating member (88).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in claim 14, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) comprises an unlocking device (89, 89a, 89b).

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 and 13 to 15, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) comprises spring relief means (89, 89a, 89b) and an unlocking device (89, 89a, 89b) so that by actuating the actuating member (88) folded-in utensils (81) can be lifted in a spring relieved manner and folded-out utensils can be unlocked.

Multipurpose handheld implement as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the lifting device (87, 87a, 89, 90, 91) and the actuating member (88) are reset via spring force operative on the utensils and biasing them in the folded-in storage position, or via separate springs.
