The invention refers to a telephone network with Vermitflungsanlagen, which are connected by feeder lines, in particular branch net with a main plant, which is connected with selecting documents by Nehenanschlußleitungen, whereby the signal system of the telephone network does not contain absolutely necessary, by alternating current characteristics, in particular 50-Hertz-Wechselstromkennzeächen, formed main characteristics and additional, for the connection establishment and the clearing necessarily necessary for the connection establishment and the clearing Nehenkennzeichen formed by audio frequency characters, whereby a Nebenkennzeichen is sent always immediately after a main identifier and whereby the respective Nebenkennzeichen directly preceding the Haupt_kennzeichen is intended also for the control of for sending, admission and evaluation lo of the Nebenkennzeichens serving Sendeund receipt mechanisms.
The use of doubly arranged feeder lines in connecting traffic, in particular in telephone networks, is well-known.
