Sheet-fed diecutting and embossing machine (100) including at least one diecutting station (2) and a transport device (7) for the sheets to be diecut, the diecutting station comprising a first platen (9) fixedly arranged in a machine frame and a second driven platen (10) that is movable into engagement with the first platen (10), the movable platen (10) being moved by at least one eccentric drive that includes an eccentric shaft (15) at the ends of which rollers (16) are supported,characterized by the fact that the rollers (16) act upon two respective wedge-shaped pads (18, 19) that are arranged one above the other and are adjustable by a respective adjustment device (21, 22), one of the wedges (18) being equipped with an adjustment motor (21) to adjust the diecutting force and the other wedge (19) being acted upon by a quick-acting actuator (22) to carry out an emergency stop or fast shut-down.
