Room heating and cooling cladding block - is made of ceramics, with decorative front face and rear grooves for air circulation

The method of heating and cooling a room uses ceramic blocks (1) which may be used to cover a floor, wall or ceiling. They may be made of baked clay, and the rear of each block incorporates a set of e.g. three equally spaced channels (2) for circulating hot or cold air. The method may be used with a heat pump. Each channel (2) may have a groove (3) along each side so that an insulating plate (4) or shaped filling piece (5) can be fitted. The outer face may be patterned, glazed, coloured or embossed.
