Glass pipeline having an improved damage behaviour

The glass pipeline according to the invention is used for the transportation of very different fluids. The object of the invention is to expand the field of application of glass pipelines and hence to save stainless steel. The technical object is to create stress-free reinforcement with protection against a splintering effect in the event of damage, without influencing the identification capability of the glass pipeline. The solution according to the invention provides for the sheathing of the glass pipeline with a rigid, perforated, elastic active mesh structure which can additionally be coated with materials which can cure chemically or physically.
