The subject-matter of this Specification forms part of that described in Specification 1,158,743 but the claims are concerned with a pulling-over mechanism in which the side grippers can be moved lengthwise of the shoe by the operator to adjust the position of the upper on the last and in which the toe gripper can move transversely of the shoe as the upper is being repositioned.
