Wireless RFID-based system for personalized adjustments and monitoring

One or more RFID tags 302 are mounted on a product 308, each RFID tag comprising one or more sensors configured to monitor a user interaction with the product. The product is then adjusted on the basis of the interaction and gathered information, or a personalized notification is generated and conveyed to the user. The adjustment may be locally-based or remotely-based where gathered information is communicated to a remote source to enable the remote source to cause the adjustment to be made. The information may be read using an RFID reader and conveyed to a remote source. The information may comprise a user identifier that is used to conduct a database lookup, or environmental parameters including the way in which the user interacts with the product or an effect imparted to the product by the user. The imparted effect may include a physical effect with respect to the product or a product movement. The notification may comprise a remedial or diagnostic notification. The product may include an adjustable bed, an adjustable mattress, a chair, a seat, shoes, compression socks, or gloves. The adjustment of a mattress may comprise inflating or deflating portions of the mattress.
