MANUFACTURE OF COUNTER-CATHODE ROTOR MEMBER FOR X-RAY TUBE BULB
PURPOSE: To facilitate and secure the manufacture of a counter-cathode rotor member, by putting raw material of a high conductive metal into a metal mold holding a bar-stock made of a heat resisting metal and, forming the raw material int a cup in parallel with integrating, it with the bar-stock. CONSTITUTION: A bar-stock 15 is put in a metal mold 14. The bar-stock 15 is inserted beforehand into a hole 19, while allowing it to project by a predetermined length from the upper surface of a die 12 which is going to be the inner bottom surface of the metal mold 14. The raw material 16 put in the metal mold 14 is formed to a rough rotor member in the metal mold 14 through reverse extruding forging process with a punch 17, after it is put in. After cutting off the opening end of the roughly formed rotor body of the rough formed rotor member into the determined dimension, a product "rotor" is obtained by finishing the bar-stock to the determined shape and dimension.
