THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MADE CASING AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE CASING
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a special decoration technique for providing smoothly changing iridescent color effects or glittering luster effects to a resin casing on which protrusions are formed variously. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin made casing having a protruding shape is fabricated by hot forming with a laminated plate made up of a thermoplastic resin plate 1 and a polarizing film 2 the side of which is attached to a mold having a predetermined shape using a vacuum forming, an air-pressure forming, or a press forming technique. In addition, after hot forming a polarizing film in a mold having a prescribed shape, a thermoplastic resin is injected for molding, to produce the thermoplastic resin made casing to which the polarizing film is firmly adhered. After polarizing film is formed in a mold having a predetermined shape, the injection molding of the thermoplastic resin is carried out, alternatively, after putting the polarizing film in the mold, the injection molding of the thermoplastic resin is also carried out, and thereby the thermoplastic resin made casing having a decorative effect can be obtained.
