TRANSMISSION WITH TWO AXIS-PARALLEL OUTPUT SHAFTS ROTATING IN THE SAME DIRECTION

A transmission with two output shafts (2, 3) arranged axially parallel and running in the same direction for the operation of a double-screw extruder has two pinions (4, 7) of equal size which are arranged in the annular space between an internal gear (6) and an idler gear (5) at the spacing of the screws of the double-screw extruder and mesh with the internal gear (6) and the idler gear (5) respectively. The first of the two pinions (4) is arranged on the input shaft (1), which is extended to form an output shaft (2). The second pinion (7) is arranged on the second output shaft (3). The transmission allows the torque of the input shaft (1) to be split between the two output shafts (2, 3).
