This invention arranges a planer table in a detachable manner to an upper surface of a rotary table 24 of a vertical lathe that is for carrying a workpiece and for rotation for turning and a linear axis, that is Y-axis, is added to the planer table for linear movement of the workpiece for planning. As such, one vertical lathe can carry out planning by using the planer table 26 and performs original turning once the planer table 26 is removed.
