Battery-powered drill

To provide a battery-power drill which is configured so as to prevent the entry of dust and water into the connection terminal section of the battery. A battery-powered drill (10) is provided with: a drilling drive section (14) having a motor (48) for rotating and driving a drilling tool (44); a drill body (12) which vertically movably supports the drilling drive section (14); and a battery cover (30) which is mounted to the drill body (12). The drill body (12) is provided with a battery mounting section (28) on which a battery (16) is mounted. The battery cover (30) is adapted to be movable between a retracted position and an advanced position, which are defined relative to the battery (16) mounted to the battery mounting section (28). When at the advanced position, the battery cover (30) covers at least a part of the gap formed between the drill body (12) and the battery (16).
