METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WATER-INSOLUBLE GEL COMPOSITION AND A WATER-INSOLUBLE GEL PRODUCED THEREBY

Disclosed is a method for producing a water-insoluble gel composition comprising the steps of: producing a composition by introducing water, an auxiliary dispersing agent, a water soluble polymer, a pH adjuster and a cross-linking agent; and removing the auxiliary dispersing agent from the composition produced in the above step. The method allows a water-insoluble gel composition of outstanding quality to be produced efficiently. Also disclosed is a water-insoluble gel composition produced by means of the method for producing the water-insoluble gel composition.
