CERIA NANOSTRUCTURE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR

A ceria nanostructure comprises a hollow cubic body portion, and one or more branches connected to the body portion. In addition, a method for preparing the ceria nanostructure comprises the steps of: reacting a cerium precursor and an alkylamine (RNH₂) to synthesize a cubic cerium chlorate nanostructure; reacting the cerium chlorate nanostructure and water to decompose the inside of the cerium chlorate nanostructure and grow one or more branches, thereby synthesizing a cerium hydroxide nanostructure; and reacting said cerium hydroxide and a noble metal precursor.
