Rinsing device and method for the operation thereof

Номер: US20120006415A1
Автор: Thomas Baur
Принадлежит: Individual

The invention provides a rinsing device, in particular for endoscopy, comprising an electrically driven pump, in particular a peristaltic roller pump, as well as a method of operating such a device. A control device is provided to detect and/or adjust a flow rate. In order to avoid an excessively high pressure in case of an unintended stenosis, e.g. kinking of the supply tube, or also intended stenoses, e.g. insertion of a narrow rinsing probe, a current-measuring device is provided to detect a current being received by the pump. The control device is adapted such that when the flow rate exceeds a prespecified limiting value and at the same time the current exceeds a first predetermined current value, the flow rate is reduced to a safe flow-rate value.

Method for inspecting the inside of a narrow hose or tube particularly for medical use

Номер: US20120019807A1

Method and system for inspecting the inside of a small channel, e.g. a flexible tube or hose, particularly for medical use, e.g. included in an endoscope, for the presence of inside contaminations on the wall of the tube, comprising providing the inside of the channel with a liquid having a refractive index which is higher than the refractive index of the channel wall, transmitting a signal into one end of the channel having a wavelength w, comparing the spectrum of the signal received at the other end of the channel with the wavelength w of the transmitted signal and determining, e.g. by a spectrum analyzer, whether the latter signal contains any wavelength w′ which is unequal to the wavelength w of the transmitted signal, and indicating that, when not any wavelength w′ is determined unequal to w, the channel is not contaminated or that, when any wavelength w′ is determined unequal to w, the channel is contaminated. The system may include means for cleaning the inside of the channel by means of said liquid having a refractive index which can be higher than the refractive index of the channel wall which thus is used both as cleaning liquid and as light conducting core.

Method and device for irrigation of body cavities

Номер: US20120035417A1
Принадлежит: Moellstam Anders, Sven Milton, Tomas Movin

A pressure and a vision regulation method and device for irrigation of a body cavity ( 1 ), in which method an inflow liquid pump ( 2 ) pressurizes the irrigation liquid in a feed line ( 13 ) and in which an outflow device ( 3 ) or an external suction source ( 20 ) drains the irrigation liquid from the body cavity ( 1 ) through a tubing ( 16 ) into a waste container ( 17 ) and in which a control unit ( 4 ) controls either the inflow liquid pump ( 2 ) only or both the inflow liquid pump ( 2 ) and the outflow device ( 3 ) depending on an inflow irrigation liquid pressure from a pressure sensor ( 5 ), where the first control unit ( 4 ) compares the inflow irrigation liquid pressure and flow with pressures calculated to correspond to pressure in the body cavity for the respective flow for a nominal surgical site and that a matching between the calculated values and the inflow irrigation liquid pressures is made by altering the effect of either the inflow liquid pump ( 2 ) only or the inflow liquid pump ( 2 ) and/or the outflow device ( 3 ) and/or the shut off valve. The above-mentioned pressure registration method and the device for irrigation of a body cavity is combined with an method for detecting blood cells, red blood cells, haemoglobin and/or debris in liquid coming from a surgical site so an automatically control and rinsing system is achieved keeping a clear vision in the viewing area of the operational site.

In order to prevent floating matters from attaching to a glass plate fixed on a leading end face of an endoscope insertion portion, gas-feed ports are formed around the glass plate. Between the glass plate and the gas-feed ports, a protective barrier is formed in a manner surrounding the glass plate. Ejection of gas through the gas-feed ports generates gas streams to remove unnecessary floating matters existing between the glass plate and an observation target from sight. The gas streams also generate secondary gas streams flowing toward the glass plate. Some of the secondary gas streams are drawn forward with the primary gas streams, while the other of the secondary gas streams collide with the protective barrier. The secondary gas streams cannot flow along the surface of the glass plate, which prevents floating matters flowing with the secondary gas streams from attaching to the surface of the glass plate.

In a tip face of an insertion part of an endoscope, gas is discharged from a plurality of air supply ports formed around an observation window, and air currents are generated. This removes suspended matter, such as oil particles and fat particles, from an imaging visual field. The interval between adjacent air supply ports of the air supply port is specified so that the gas around air currents is caught in the air currents by the air currents without being directed towards the imaging lens. The surrounding gas by the air currents being discharged is pulled in the imaging direction along with the air currents. Since the surrounding gas induced by the air currents is prevented from being induced in the direction of the imaging lens, the imaging lens can be prevented from being contaminated by an unnecessary object.

The present invention includes a method for providing ground fault protection to a generator. The method includes determining the existing state of the generator and second, determining the updated alarm or trip conditions of a relay connected to the generator in view of the existing state of the generator. This includes estimating a ratio of the magnitude of the 3 rd harmonic neutral voltage to the magnitude of the 3 rd harmonic terminal voltage of a generator, along with calculating the residual 3 rd harmonic voltage from the estimated 3 rd harmonic ratio. From this, a comparison is made between the energy of the residual voltage with a fractional energy of the 3 rd harmonic neutral voltage. Based on this comparison, an alarm or trip condition is signaled when the energy of the residual voltage is greater than the fractional energy of the 3 rd harmonic neutral voltage. The invention further includes adaptive relays and systems utilizing the adaptive relays, along with methods of producing power using the adaptive relays.

ENDOSCOPE CLEANING/DISINFECTING APPARATUS

Номер: US20160000310A1
Принадлежит: OLYMPUS CORPORATION

A chemical bottle is inclined by a bottle push-up mechanism, and a chemical solution is gravitationally injected into a chemical tank from a chemical supply tube line. When a chemical tray is drawn out after completion of chemical injection, the bottle push-up mechanism returns to a planar initial state. In connection with this, the chemical bottle returns to an original set position in which the chemical bottle is in a horizontal state or a plug section faces upward with respect to a gravity direction. This prevents the chemical solution remaining in the chemical bottle from flowing to an outside by gravity. 1. An endoscope cleaning/disinfecting apparatus for cleaning/disinfecting an endoscope , comprising:a bottle insertion passage having an opening section on a wall surface of an apparatus body and for introducing a chemical bottle with a chemical solution enclosed therein;an unsealing section placed in the bottle insertion passage for unsealing a chemical discharge section of the chemical bottle to form a chemical discharge port in the chemical bottle;a bottle set section placed movably back and forth inside the bottle insertion passage for housing the chemical bottle so that the chemical discharge section faces upward or sideward with respect to a gravity direction;a guide section placed in the bottle insertion passage for restricting an advancing direction of the bottle set section so that the bottle set section moves linearly back and forth in a portion between the first position and the second position, assuming that a position of the bottle set section for laying the chemical bottle on the bottle set section and for extracting the chemical bottle from the bottle set section is defined as a first position, and a position of the bottle set section for unsealing the chemical bottle with the unsealing section is defined as the second position;a first push-up section serving as an obstacle fixed to the bottle insertion passage; anda second push-up section placed ...
