The mast is equipped with a color monitor coupled to the camera for operator previewing at the portable unit, and the remote control camera provides a single video feed that can be teleconferenced, recorded, and even mixed with other cameras when used as a satellite adjunct to the primary VVPR, thereby allow full production capabilities for live interactive broadcasts, all in real time by a single operator from a single point of control. The portable unit is mobile and offers more diverse lighting and camera angles than previously possible.

A marker winding is wound helically around the reinforcing wire, the marker winding being viewable on an image display system employing electromagnetic radiation so as to indicate the location of a periphery of the fenestration. The circular shape of the resilient wire, with the marker winding wound around it, is collapsible under radial pressure to form a squashed circular shape for loading into a delivery device, the squashed circular shape self-expandable back to a substantially circular shape upon release from the delivery device. The marker winding defines a curved passageway around the resilient wire of the reinforcing ring, the curved passageway having an internal diameter D, wherein the marker winding is helically wound with a pitch providing at least one winding per length D along the reinforcing wire of the reinforcing ring. The marker winding may be a radiopaque gold wire wound around a nitinol reinforcing wire.

Therefore, the surgery is not slowed down as in the art, because the surgeon is in conscious and subconscious natural agreement and harmonization with the robotically actuated surgical instruments based on neurological mimicking of the surgeon's behavior with the functioning of the robot. Therefore, the robot can enhance the surgeon's humanly limited senses while not introducing disruptive variables to the surgeon's naturally occurring operation of his neurophysiology. This is therefore also a new field, neurophysiological symbiotic robotics.

In one implementation, a method is disclosed in which a lock sensing mode is entered for a robotic surgical instrument. In the lock sensing mode, the degrees of freedom of movement in the robotic surgical instrument are switchably reduced. The imaging is repeated with differences, such as field-of-view or scale, allowing for registration for different types of modalities.
