A golf club is provided having a hollow body golf club head comprising discrete concentrations of weight or mass located away from the center of gravity or the geometric center of the club head to optimize the moment of inertia of the club head about both the vertical axis running through the center of gravity or geometric center of the club head, hereinafter referred to as the “y-axis,” and the axis running through the center of the shaft of the golf club, hereinafter referred to as the “hosel axis.” The ratio of moment of inertia of the club head about the y-axis to moment of inertia of the club head about the hosel axis is preferably 0.55. More preferably, this ratio is 0.75.

Golf club

A golf putter has a head and a shaft affixed to the head, the head having a front face for striking a ball and a rear face and is constructed and designed to assist the golfer in aligning the putter for propelling the ball to be putted in the desired direction. Embodiments of the disclosed polymer composition comprise a first unsaturated polymer or polymer precursor, and an effective amount of a peptizer. The peptizer typically comprises a heteroaryl or a heterocyclic compound, other than morpholine as disclosed in assignee's prior applications. Disclosed polymer compositions are useful for making sports equipment, such as at least one layer of a golf ball, often a core. Because the compositions are useful for making golf balls, materials commonly known for making such golf balls can be used in combination with the polymer composition. A method for forming a golf ball also is disclosed. The method comprises providing disclosed compositions and then forming at least one component of a golf using the composition.

Golf club

A golf club of the present invention comprises at least one adjusting mechanism. In the golf club, at least two specifications can be adjusted independently of each other. Preferably, a head, a shaft, a grip, or a joined part therebetween has an adjusting mechanism ( 1 ). The head, the shaft, the grip, or the joined part has further other adjusting mechanism ( 2 ). Preferably, the adjusting mechanism ( 1 ) and the adjusting mechanism ( 2 ) can work independently of each other. The number of the adjusting mechanisms is not restricted. Since the plurality of specifications can be adjusted independently of each other, a degree of freedom of adjustability is improved. These adjusting mechanisms can improve accuracy of the adjustability. The specification capable of being adjusted is not restricted.

A golf club head with a hardened striking face portion that improves durability and performance is disclosed. A wood-type golf club head with an adjustable keel zone member is disclosed herein. The golf club head includes a body and an adjustable keel zone member. The body has a front portion, a crown portion and a sole portion. The body also having a heel end, a toe end and an aft end. The sole portion has only a single keel point. The adjustable keel zone member is disposed within a keel zone of the sole and located preferentially with respect to the center of gravity. The keel zone member is capable of adjusting the face angle of the wood-type golf club head.

Enhanced Grip Game Ball

A game ball with a cover having an outer surface that is formed of a first material. A second material, which is easier to grip than the first material, is affixed to the cover and positioned to resemble the seam of a conventional game ball. Preferably, the cover is formed from at least two panels that are coupled together along a seam. An outer surface of each panel is formed from the first material, and the second material is affixed to each panel adjacent to the seam. The invention also includes a baseball or softball with a cover having an outer surface formed of a first material, and a second material that is affixed to the outer surface in the same location as the seam on a conventional baseball or softball. The second material enhances a player's ability to grip the ball.

Iron golf club head

An iron golf club head includes a hosel part embedded member installed in a hosel part thereof, a sole part embedded member installed in a sole part thereof, and a top part embedded member installed in an upper portion of a face part of thereof. In a shank part (neck part) connecting the hosel part to the body part, a connecting embedded member for connecting the hosel part embedded member to the sole part embedded member is installed. These embedded members are covered with a synthetic resin layer. The hosel part embedded member and the connecting embedded member each are preferably made of a metal.

A golf club head includes a body defining an interior cavity. The body includes a sole positioned at a bottom portion of the golf club head, a crown positioned at a top portion, and a skirt positioned around a periphery between the sole and crown. The body has a forward portion and a rearward portion. The club head includes a face positioned at the forward portion of the body. The face defines a striking surface having an ideal impact location at a golf club head origin. Embodiments include club heads for a fairway wood that at least one of a high moment of inertia, a low center-of-gravity, a thin crown and a high coefficient of restitution.

Dumbbell With Antimicrobial Handle

A dumbbell having an antimicrobial handle comprises a bar having a pair of end regions, and extending generally longitudinally therebetween along a generally central axis, weight plate masses mounted at the end regions and mechanically secured thereto, and a pair of collars located at longitudinally opposed positions on bar to define a handle region therebetween. A handle is located within the handle region and includes a generally tubular supporting substrate positioned about the bar, and a generally tubular grip surface member supported by the substrate and formed from an antimicrobial copper alloy, the supporting substrate and generally tubular grip surface member extending generally axially between longitudinally spaced-apart end regions. The collars have axially-inwardly extending flange portions sized and structured to substantially circumscribe the end regions of the grip surface member and to securely capture the end regions between the flange portions and the bar.

Device for teeing a golf ball

A device for teeing a golf ball includes a ball support member that has at least two opposed feet and that defines at least one ball locating formation for supporting a golf ball interposed between the feet. The, or each, ball locating formation is in a plane that is spaced from a plane in which the feet are positioned. The ball support member is of a resiliently flexible material to permit the, or each, ball locating formation to deflect, against a bias of the ball support member, towards the plane of the feet when either or both of the ball support member and the ball are struck with a golf club head.

Iron golf club head and iron golf club

An iron golf club head includes: a head portion; and a badge portion adhered to the head portion. The head portion includes: a face surface; and a back surface located behind the face surface. The badge portion is adhered to at least one of a first largest amplitude region where an amplitude in a fourth-order vibration mode of the back surface is the largest and a second largest amplitude region where an amplitude in a fifth-order vibration mode of the back surface is the largest. Grip guide apparatus and method of using the same

A grip guide apparatus is disclosed for use as a training aid. The grip guide apparatus includes a substrate and chromic material. The substrate is dimensioned to cover at least a portion of an article of sports equipment such as a handle. The chromic material is capable of changing colors in response to one or more external stimuli. Changes in color of chromic material thereby indicate whether the user has proper or improper hand placement on the article of sports equipment. The chromic material may also indicate whether the user has applied the proper or improper amount of pressure to the article of sports equipment. The substrate may include an adhesive backing to affix the grip guide apparatus to the article of sports equipment. By generating feedback from the chromic material, good habits can be formed with respect to taking a proper grip of the article of sports equipment.

Method of putting

A method of putting a golf ball located on a putting green into a hole includes grasping a putter with at least one hand of a golfer and locating the putter at a first position such that the putter head is positioned proximate the golf ball and is at least four feet from the golfer. Furthermore, the method includes translating the putter head away from the golf ball to locate the putter at a second position, and orienting the shoulders of the golfer to be substantially perpendicular to the putter shaft in the second position. Additionally, the method includes translating the putter head towards the golf ball while the shoulders of the golfer face the hole, and instantaneously striking the golf ball with the putter head to cause the golf ball to develop a top spin and translate in a direction along a line of the putt towards the hole.

Reversible baseball or softball chest protector

A reversible chest protector includes internal padding configured to absorb impacts against both the front and rear-facing surfaces of the chest protector. The chest protector includes inner and outer layers of fabric that are molded to an internal foam core. The foam core may include outer layers of closed-cell foam molded to the fabric layers, and an internal layer of open-cell foam molded to the closed-cell foam layers, such that the padding layup is symmetrical. A ball striking device, such as a golf club, includes a head with a face having an outer surface configured for striking a ball, a body connected to the face, and a channel located in the body. The channel is configured to influence the characteristics of the impact of a ball on the face, such as by flexing or compressing in response to the force of the impact, exerting a response or reaction force on the face, changing the motion or behavior of the face, and other manners. The head may also include a pair of channels that have a gap between them.

Golf club head

A golf club head includes a striking face having a face center, a bottom portion, a top portion including an exterior surface, a hosel including an imaginary vertical hosel plane, a forwardmost point, and a rearwardmost point. In an imaginary vertical plane perpendicular to the hosel plane and passing through the face center, the exterior surface includes a path having a first point and a second point rearward of the first point. According to the present invention, durability, abrasion resistance and repulsion of a golf ball can be improved.

Golf Accessory Device

A golf accessory device that combines a cigar punch, a ball mark repair tool and a cigar/cigarette holder into a single compact device. A storage unit intended for mounting on the rear of a golf cart type vehicle is designed to protrude from the rear of the golf cart to provide more storage space. The storage unit is further designed to be removable, and may be subdivided with movable partitions. Several features are described for its attachment onto the rear of the golf cart in different ways, including specific types of attachments and frameworks for use with and without rear shelf wells on the golf cart. These are designed for greater security in holding the storage unit onto the golf cart, and include adjustable or removable bottom protrusions for use with a rear shelf well, or the attachment frame system without a rear shelf well. In addition, a system is described to allow greater interior volume in the storage unit by stepping the side of the unit which faces the rear of the golf card.

A golf training aid with removably attached weights, wherein the golf training aid includes putters and non-putters. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a putter having an elongated shaft with a putter head attached thereto. The putter head includes a recess centrally located thereon. The recess is configured to store one or more weights therein in a side-by-side orientation. Alternatively, the weights can be attached along the shaft, preferably so that the weights are biased toward the putter head. The weights are composed of a strong magnetic material so that the weights are secured in place and prevented from shifting during a swing.

A stabilized course sand bunker and method of making the same is disclosed. The soil making up the bunker is contoured and stabilized so that it is in the form of a pit having a downward angularly extending keyway surrounding the opening at the top edge of the pit. A semi-solid precursor material is applied over the pit and keyway and allowed to cure to form a barrier liner having a flanged anchoring portion for location under some additional soil and turf grass. Bunker sand is disposed over the barrier liner.
