A high pressure rotary nozzle having a rotating shaft operating within a fixed housing wherein the of axial force which acts upon the shaft due to the fluid pressure at the shaft inlet is balanced by allowing passage of a small amount of the pressurized fluid to be bled to an area or chamber between the outside of the opposite end of the shaft and the inside of the housing where the fluid pressure can act axially in an opposing direction upon the shaft to balance the axial inlet force. The balance of axial forces is self-regulating by controlling escape of the fluid through a tapered or frusto-conical region between the shaft and housing. This further provides a fluid bearing between the two surfaces and allows use of interchangeable rotating jet heads having jet orifices which can be oriented in virtually any desirable configuration including axially forward of the nozzle.

The deflector blocks spray from the sprinkler in a given direction, while the attachment arms provide a readily deployable connection means around the riser of an existing sprinkler. The connection means comprises a removable zip tie fastener that extends through apertures in the attachment arms, or is alternately a zip tie fastener attached to the distal ends thereof. In an alternate embodiment, the deflector shield includes an extension member having an overhang portion for blocking spray from multiple orientations around the circumference of the sprinkler spray pattern.

An improved cold spray gun apparatus and system, which prevents nozzle clogging and erosion of the nozzle material. The nozzle can be configured as a non-monolithic assembly that includes a passageway for spraying powder material. The passageway can include a converging section and a diverging section. Such an arrangement is, in part, a result of a selection of specific nozzle material for the diverging section and a cooling system. The improved cold spray gun enables applying coatings at high spray parameters (e.g., pressure up to 5 MPa, temperature up to and in excess of 1000° C.), and can achieve high quality coatings, deposition efficiency, density, adhesion and cohesion, and other advantages. Additionally, the disclosed apparatus makes it possible to spray a wide range of powder materials in commercial applications without nozzle clogging or nozzle erosion during continuous operation.

An aperture plate is formed from a palladium nickel alloy comprising about 89% palladium and about 11% nickel. There is a generally fine substantially equiaxed grain microstructure throughout the thickness of the aperture plate. The average grain width (W) is in the range of from 0.2 μm to 5.0 μm, in some cases from 0.2 μm to 2.0 μm. Because the grain structure is equiaxed (L/W=1) the grain length (L) is the same as the grain width. The improved aperture plate extends the life of nebulisers, eliminates the risk of premature and unpredictable failure of a nebuliser in service, eliminates the risk of product returns from hospitals and patients, and eliminates the possible risk of fragments of the aperture plate breaking free from the nebulizer.

The gun comprises a body comprising a valve, a trigger actuatable to open and close the valve, a handle, and a guard having a top end and a bottom end, the top end attached to the body and the bottom end located below the trigger. The trigger is located directly between the guard and the handle. When gripped, the thump of the hand wraps around one side of the handle, the index and middle fingers of the hand wrap around the other side of the handle above the bottom end of the guard to contact the trigger, and the ring and little fingers of the hand are below the bottom of the guard. An overspray spray capture structure integrated into a paint spray operation integrates at least one reception surface for receiving an overspray of the spray coating operation. The overspray is communicated through a merging location established between the receiving surfaces and adapted to being removed or recycled. The at least one reception surface further includes first and second oriented reception surfaces not limited to a pair of horizontal and vertical closed loop belt curtains which are traversable supported about a pair of spaced apart rotating shafts. The first and second reception surfaces can include traversing paper rolls for capturing the overspray therebetween at the merging location. Other variants include water curtain or vacuum removal assist assemblies for removing the overspray prior to it setting. 1. An overspray capture booth for use in a part spray coating operation , comprising:a structure integrating at least one reception surface for receiving an overspray of the spray coating operation; andthe overspray being communicated through a merging location established between the receiving surfaces and adapted to being removed or recycled.2. A sprinkler includes a compartment that surrounds its riser portion in an offset or asymmetrical configuration. More specifically, the distance of the compartments walls from those of the riser vary (i.e., increase or decrease) at different locations surrounding the riser. Put another way, the riser is closer to one side of the compartment than other sides of the compartment. This non-concentric configuration allows larger components to fit inside the compartment than would otherwise fit if the riser was symmetrically surrounded by the compartment. 1.
