Изобретение относится к способу покрытия металлических поверхностей субстратов с помощью водных композиций в форме дисперсии и/или суспензии, которые содержат по меньшей мере одно стабилизированное связующее средство и один гелеобразователь и с помощью которых на стадии предварительной обработки и/или во время контактирования катионы, извлеченные растворением из металлической поверхности, образуют покрытие на основе ионогенного геля, при котором нанесение покрытия осуществляют посредством: I) предоставления субстрата с очищенной металлической поверхностью, II) контактирования металлических поверхностей с первой водной композицией в форме дисперсии и/или суспензии и нанесения с ее помощью покрытия, III) при необходимости промывки органического покрытия, IV) при необходимости сушки органического покрытия и V) покрытия по меньшей мере двумя дополнительными композициями для нанесения покрытий перед сушкой и сшивкой всех нанесенных слоев, причем стабилизированные связующие средства выбраны из группы, состоящей из: неионогенно стабилизированных полиэпоксидных дисперсий, неионогенно стабилизированных полиуретановых дисперсий и ионно стабилизированных полиакрилатных дисперсий, причем стабилизированные связующие средства должны удовлетворять условию, что a) водную смесь из полностью обессоленной воды, от 0,2 до 2% масс. гелеобразователя и от 5 до 20% масс. стабилизированного связующего средства; b) доводят до значения рН от 1 до 7; c) очищенный субстрат погружают в смесь, в соответствии с b), на 1-15 минут при комнатной температуре и d) проверяют, произошло ли осаждение органического покрытия, составляющего по меньшей мере 1 мкм, причем e) дополнительно проводят проверку без гелеобразователя, путем того, что получают смесь из полностью обессоленной воды и от 5 до 20% масс. подлежащей проверке дисперсии; f) смесь, полученную в е), также доводят до значения рН от 1 до 7 и g) повторяют описанную в с) и d) проверку. 15 з.п. ф-лы, 1 табл. The present invention relates to a new method for producing a multi-coat colour and/or effect paint system, in which (1) a pigmented aqueous basecoat material, comprising at least one polyurethane resin (A) as binder and at least one colour and/or effect pigment, is applied to a substrate, (2) a polymer film is formed from the basecoat material applied in stage (1), (3) a clearcoat material is applied to the resultant basecoat film, and subsequently (4) the basecoat film is cured together with the clearcoat material applied in stage (3). The method of claim 1 , wherein exasperating the grained surface causes the grain portions to have an increased depth.3. A refinish clearcoat composition includes an hydroxyl-functional acrylic polymer. The acrylic polymer has a number average molecular weight of at least about 5000 and is polymerized using at least about 45% by weight cycloaliphatic monomer, based on total monomer weight polymerized. The clearcoat composition is fast drying. Optionally, the clearcoat is cured by low temperature baking. The cured clearcoat surface may be taped without leaving tape marks as soon as the substrate is cooled. The cured clearcoat may undergo wet sanding after baking as soon as the part is cooled, and can then be buffed back to a high gloss finish after sanding and washing.
