Tool 18 is rotated by a compressed motor located in a casing 16, the latter being mounted on a block 15 pivotally mounted in a holder 10. The latter is carried on a bar which passes through bores 12, and the bar is adapted to be clamped in a pillar so that it can slide horizontally, and can be located at any desired height. The pillar is mounted on a slide which is adapted to be horizontally moved towards and away from the workpiece. Fluid pressure dashpot 19 includes a calibrated adjustment means 20, and the effect of the torsion spring is varied by a calibrated adjusting cap 22. The air motor for tool 18 is supplied with air by a pipe 24, and an air cylinder 26 is adapted to be actuated so as to operate a stop 28 and pivot the tool away from the workpiece when required. The apparatus may be fitted to an automatically-controlled deburring machine, or it may be fitted to a gear-cutting machine.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Schleifen einer Verzahnung (1) eines Werkstücks (2) mittels einer Profilschleifscheibe (3), wobei das Werkstück (2) eine Drehachse (a) aufweist, wobei die Schleifscheibe (3) eine Drehachse (b) sowie einen Mittelpunkt (M) aufweist, der auf der Drehachse (b) der Schleifscheibe (3) und in der Mitte der axialen Erstreckung (e) der Schleifscheibe (3) liegt, und wobei das Werkstück (2) zumindest in einem axialen Endbereich (5, 6) der Verzahnung (1) oder des Profils eine Stirnfläche (7) aufweist. Um in einfacher und präziser Weise die axialen Enden der Verzahnung gratfrei herzustellen, sieht die Erfindung vor, dass das Schleifen der Verzahnung (1) die Schritte umfasst: a) Schleifen der Zahnlücken (4) des Werkstücks (2) mittels der Profilschleifscheibe (3); b) Schleifen von Fasen (9) in den Bereich des axialen Endes (8) der Zahnlücken (4) mittels der Schleifscheibe (3), wobei die Schleifscheibe (3) zumindest zeitweise während des Schleifens der Fasen (9) eine Position einnimmt, bei der die Schleifscheibe (3) relativ zum Werkstück (2) so angeordnet ist, dass ein axiales Ende (8) der Zahnlücke (4) die Schleifscheibe (3) kontaktiert, wobei in einer Projektion auf eine Ebene, die die Drehachse (a) des Werkstücks (2) sowie den Mittelpunkt (M) der Schleifscheibe (3) beinhaltet, zwischen der Drehachse (a) des Werkstücks (2) und der Verbindungslinie (RV) zwischen dem axialen Ende der Zahnlücke (8) und dem Mittelpunkt (M) ein Winkel (δ) eingeschlossen wird, der zwischen 20° und 70° liegt.

A method for grinding a toothing of a workpiece by a profile grinding wheel. The workpiece each have an axis of rotation. The grinding wheel has a center which lies on the axis of rotation of the grinding wheel and in the middle of the axial extent of the grinding wheel. The workpiece has an end face at least in an axial end region of the toothing or of the profile. The method includes the steps of: a) grinding the tooth gaps by the profile grinding wheel; b) grinding chamfers in the region of the axial end of the tooth gaps by the grinding wheel. The grinding wheel takes up a position in which it is arranged so that an axial end of the tooth gap is in contact with the grinding wheel. In projection onto a plane that contains the axis of rotation of the workpiece and the center of the grinding wheel, an angle of between 20° and 70° is enclosed between the axis of rotation of the workpiece and the connecting line between the axial end of the tooth gap and the center.
