A finishing trowel 11 is formed with a flat blade 13 having a rib 88 affixed to a top surface which has a post 17 extending upwardly from it. A tang 21 extends laterally from the top of the post which engages with a mounting hole 39 in a handle 19. The mounting hole is surrounded by a raised deformable annular ring 45 which abuts a planar surface (101, fig 11) on the post. On mounting of the handle to the tang the annular ring is deformed to seal the proximal end of the hollow handle.

A striking tool 10 comprises a handle 30, a head 50 defining a striking surface 60 and a weight centre 310, and a generally curved shank 20 connecting the handle to the head. The head may include an overstrike flange (70, fig 5), and the curved shank may defined a curved centerline 350, where the weight centre of the head is disposed between the curved centerline and the striking surface of the head. The handle and shank may be adapted to be connected to one another, or alternatively may be integrally formed.

A multi-purpose handle grip 10 comprises a first hollow portion 1 for accepting a handle and a second portion 3 extending from the first portion at an acute angle. Together the first and second portions form an open V shape suitable for accepting the hand of a user as the user inserts their thumb and forefinger on either side of the handle grip where the first and second portions meet. The angle between the portions is preferably between 40 and 60 degrees, and more preferably 45 degrees. The grip may have a tapered internal diameter, and one or more internal sleeves (7, figure 5) may be provided in order to reduce the internal dimensions of the hollow first portion. The multi-purpose handle grip is fitted to handles to assist the user to use items when the user suffers from limited grip or dexterity, which would normally restrict the use of the apparatus with conventional handles fitted.

A grip 10 for an item which includes a shaft, such as a drumstick 12, has a plurality of grooves 18 to accommodate at least two fingers of a user. The grip 10 enables the item to be held in a particular orientation. The grooves 18 are preferably separated by ridges 20 and may have a textured or other high friction surface. The grip 10 preferably includes a central bore 16 through which the shaft is received. The central bore 16 may be closed at one end to prevent it from sliding along the shaft. Alternatively, the grip 10 may include means for retaining it in the desired location along the shaft; for example the grip may be formed from a material which expands when wet, allowing the grip 10 to slide along the shaft, and contracts when dry to retain the grip 10 at a suitable location.

The handle body has a rod shape and comprises a first surface 11 and two second surfaces 12 respectively connected at side edges of the first surface so as to form an opening. The handle body further comprises third surfaces 13 connected at a side edge of the opening to each of the second surfaces. The second surfaces and the third surfaces are bent at a transition zone therebetween to form a trapezoidal stepped cross section of the handle body. The reinforcing rib comprises rhombuses intertwined together as a whole and is provided on the back of the first surface. The handle may further comprise a reinforcing column 3 and may be made of plastic. In use, the tableware handle aims to facilitate the holding of the tableware, enhance the strength of the handle, and enable the tableware to be stacked for storage and packaging.

A removable handle grip which is easily attached and removed from a handle intended for gripping is made from a rigid sleeve (A, figure 2) with a locking device F, the sleev being coated with a mouldable material D to provide a gripping section. Due to the rigid nature of the sleeve A, the moulding can be carried out with or without pre-fixing of the handle grip on the equipment. A method for manufacturing a wrench handle includes preheating a work piece made of metal, with a layer of carbon scale being generated on the work piece during preheating. The work piece is forged to form a wrench handle, with the carbon scale on the work piece being forged into a surface of the wrench handle during forging. The carbon scale is then removed, leaving a pitted area with a plurality of pits in the surface of the wrench handle. Finally, a concealment treatment is carried out, wherein the pitted area of the surface of the wrench handle is pressed inward to form an indentation section on the surface of the wrench handle for covering the pits.

IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO CUTLERY A piece of cutlery which is designed to assist people such as children who are unfamiliar with cutlery, how to use it effectively and correctly. The present invention provides an irrigation staple insertion device and method for setting staples to secure flexible tubing to the ground. The device offers significant advancements toward the prevention of deformation of the tubing from driving the staples too far into the ground, and alleviates the need for an installer to bend down to install each staple. The staple insertion device may include a piston nested within an outer chamber, where the outer chamber includes a slot for holding an irrigation staple to be inserted into the ground over an irrigation tube. The piston may be structured and nested in the outer chamber such that it can only travel a pre-determined distance through the chamber that is equal to the length of the staple less the thickness of the irrigation tube. 1. Presented here are toollessly releasable, interchangeable handles for hand tools and methods of use thereof. Hand tool users often experience discomfort and injury because hand tool handles are not well suited to each user's hands. In addition, different hand tools have different handles, so users that switch between hand tools often find a different level of comfort with different hand tools. The disclosed platform for interchangeable handles for hand tools allows a user to attach handles custom fitted to their hand to any corresponding hand tool, and likewise allows different users to share a hand tool by detaching the first user's handles and then attaching a second user's handles. Various embodiments for connecting interchangeable handles to hand tools are shown. Additionally, a fluid reservoir disposed within an interchangeable handle and locking mechanisms for keeping the interchangeable handles attached to the hand tool are disclosed. 1. A slot is formed within the cavity and at least one opening is formed at one end of the body for an insertion of a handle portion of an object. In one embodiment of the present invention, the opening is a modified T-structure of a substantially elongated shape including two tabs located in a center portion of the modified T-structure. The two tabs are substantially perpendicular to the elongated shape of the opening.
