The press part (3) acting upon the punch tool (11) is connected to a lever (5) pivotally mounted in the machine frame. This lever is connected to the punch tool via a roller (7.1) and intermediate lever (7), so that when the press part is in the resting position, the punch tool is raised, and the press part can be moved quickly in a downwards direction without encountering any force in order for it to reach a position immediately above the flat material, subsequent movement of the press part being through the deadpoint region at a very shallow angle, in order to generate a high press or punch pressure over a short path. Once punching, embossing or forming is complete, the press part is returned to its starting position, since the kinetic energy after the deadpoint region acts in the upwards direction. The machine is used to punch, emboss and/or form flat pieces or webs of paper, plastic, laminated paper, metal or similar material.

A cutter can move a movable knife by two cutter drive gears without the movable knife becoming skewed. The cutter of a mobile printer has a fixed knife , and a cutter drive mechanism that moves the movable knife straight to and away from the fixed knife . The cutter drive mechanism has two cutter drive gears that are driven synchronously, and a cutter drive plate disposed between the two cutter drive gears and the movable knife . The two cutter drive gears cause the cutter drive plate to move to and away from the movable knife on a longitudinal axis Y (direction of travel), thereby moving the movable knife to and away from the cutter drive plate . If the cutter drive plate becomes skewed when the two cutter drive gears move the cutter drive plate , the guide mechanism prevents skewing of the movable knife 1. A cutter drive mechanism that moves a movable knife straight to and away from a fixed knife , the cutter drive mechanism comprising:two cutter drive gears driven synchronously; anda cutter drive plate disposed between the two cutter drive gears and the movable knife;the two cutter drive gears moving the cutter drive plate in a direction of travel to and away from the movable knife; andthe movable knife moving in the direction of travel in conjunction with movement of the cutter drive plate in the direction of travel.2. The second conveyor rolls permit the vinyl wound on a vinyl roll(1) to be engaged with a low speed synchronous motor(M10) through conveyor rolls(2,2') and a hoop(3). The heater seals the vinyl into a predetermined thickness in interlock with a low speed synchronous motor(M30), and keeps a sealing period for a predetermined time at the lowest point when lowered. The cooling unit cools the sealed portion of a sealed object. The third conveyor roll operates in interlock with a low speed synchronous motor(M40) so as to convey the object sealed by the cooling unit to the cutter. The cutter cuts the object into a predetermined length, and operates in interlock with a low speed synchronous motor(M20). The cutter includes a sensor(S) for sensing whether to cut an object. The synchronous motors are controlled by control boards having respective controllers.
