The long legs (1) and the short legs (2) are provided alternately on the cleat body (3). The long legs (1) protrude outwardly from the cleat body (3) having an angle with an imaginary plane normal to the axis of the cleat in the range 70 ~ 15 degrees. The long legs (1) are rigid enough to penetrate through grass while the short legs (2) are rigid enough to retain their shape on a hard surface and press grass hard from above. The cleat having voids between the long and short legs provides excellent grips on grass as grass blades and stalks enter the voids and entangle with the long legs (1) and the short legs (2).

Disclosed herein are insoles useful for treating skin injuries on a foot, for instance ulcers. The insoles are customizable for each patient's foot and can include various portions of differing softness, depending on the needs of the patient. For instance, it can be beneficial for certain sections of the foot to contact a firmer material, whereas other sections contact a softer material. Some, or all, of the materials can include one or more biofidelic skin simulant materials. Thus, various implementations include one or more regions that can include the same or different materials. For example, a custom insole can include a heel support region, a midfoot support region, and a forefoot support region, and the support regions can be subdivided into medial and lateral support regions or toe regions. One or more regions may have a custom isolation segment to prevent the progression of ulcers and/or expedite wound healing. 1. An insole having a support layer , the support layer comprising one or more support regions , each support region comprising a support material simulating biomechanical properties of human skin , the support material comprising an elastomeric network having an elasticity modulus low stretch ratio from 2-8 MPa and an elasticity modulus high stretch ratio from 6-90 MPa , wherein the elasticity modulus high stretch ratio is greater than the elasticity modulus low stretch ratio.2. Methods for manufacturing articles of footwear are provided. In various aspects, the methods comprise utilizing additive manufacturing methods with foam particles. In some aspects, the disclosed methods comprise selectively depositing a binding material on foam particles in a target area such that the binding material coats at least a portion of defining surfaces of the foam particles with the binding material. The binding material is then cured to affix foam particles in the target area to one another. In various aspects, the disclosed methods can be used to manufacturer articles with sub-regions that differential levels of affixing between the foam particles, and thereby resulting in sub-regions with different properties such as density, resilience, and/or flexural modulus. A method of forming a foamed part , the method comprising:providing a polymer processing system comprising a polymer processing space;mixing polymeric material and a blowing agent within the polymer processing space to produce an unfoamed mixture;providing a mold having at least one expandable mold cavity in fluid communication with the polymer processing space;injecting a volume of the mixture of polymeric material and blowing agent from the polymer processing space and into the expandable mold cavity;expanding the mold cavity to form a foamed preform part;inserting the foamed preform part into a press mold cavity; andpress-forming the foamed preform part within the press mold cavity to form a unitary finished part.2. Disclosed is a shoe including a sole and an upper, wherein the upper includes an inner upper and an outer upper, wherein the inner upper includes 90% or more of a wool fiber and the outer upper includes a combination of 50 to 80% by weight of the wool fiber and 20 to 50% by weight of a synthetic fiber, based on the total weight of the outer upper. The shoe according to the present invention can facilitate discharge of sweat generated during exercise through the upper made of natural wool fiber and thus offer fresh wear sensation and can be worn without socks. In addition, elasticity of wool fabric can reduce resistance of shoes depending on shape change of feet during exercise or in a daily life, thus impairing foot comfort. As a result, people whose feet swell readily, such as pregnant women, can wear the shoes without irritation. Furthermore, the shoes according to the present invention are suitable for diabetic patients whose feet need to be protected from injury because they are made of wool which is a soft elastic fiber.

Elastomeric components, such as a shoe outsole, are treated with a plasma application to clean and activate the elastomeric component. The application of plasma is controlled to achieve a sufficient surface composition change to enhance adhesion characteristics while not adversely physically deforming the elastomeric component. The plasma treatment is applied to increase carbonyl functional group concentrations within an altered region of the elastomeric component to within at least a range of 2%-15% of carbon atomic percentage composition. An article of footwear has an upper that is direct attached with the sole in a article of footwear mold. The sole has a film extending up sidewalls of the sole to a film edge that is prior to the sidewall and the upper joining. Method of manufacture of the article of footwear includes steps of positioning a film over a mold cavity and then securing the film to the mold. The film is heated and then drawn into the mold cavity under a vacuum. The film forms a liner of the mold cavity. A foam composition is injected into the lined mold cavity. As the foam composition expands, the foam composition interacts with and mechanically engages with the upper that is poisoned at the mold cavity to allow for the mechanical engagement that results in the direct attach of the sole to the upper.

To obtain a lightweight shoe which has good rebound characteristics, the invention provides the following steps: a) Producing plastic elements ( 3 ), the extent (a, b, c) of which in the three spatial direction lies between 2 mm and 15 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 9 mm, wherein the plastic elements ( 3 ) consist of a foamed thermoplastic elastomer based on urethane (TPU, E-TPU, TPE-U) and/or based on polyether block amide (PEBA); b) Introducing the plastic elements ( 3 ) into a moulding tool which has a cavity which corresponds to the shape of the sole ( 1 ) or the sole part to be produced; c) Connecting the plastic elements ( 3 ) located in the moulding tool to one another, wherein a binder is put into the moulding tool to make the connection and/or wherein heat is allowed to act on the plastic elements ( 3 ) to make the connection.

Systems and methods for forming a custom fitted shoe insole. The method includes placing a shoe insole template plate proximate a heating element that heats the shoe insole template plate to a temperature sufficient to make it deformable. The method further includes placing the sufficiently heated shoe insole template plate onto a foam structure, placing a foot of a user on the heated shoe insole template plate, and applying foot pressure to the heated shoe insole template plate, causing it to deform to match a topology of the sole of the user's foot. The shoe insole template plate is then removed from the foam structure, cooled and hardened, and inserted into a shoe as the custom fitted shoe insole.
