An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene content of 20 to 50 percent by mole is modified by incorporating 0.01 to 1% mol of a structural unit expressed by the following formula (3): wherein, n indicates an integer of 2 to 5, m indicates an integer of 10 to 20, and R 1 indicates a C 1 to C 20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group provided that R 1 may contain a mercapto group, thioester group, sulfenamide, vinyl group, methacryloxy group, or acryloxy group. The modified ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer may be used as a gas barrier resin and this gas barrier resin may be shaped or laminated and used in various applications such as in pneumatic tires and hoses.

The lens material of claim 2 , wherein the fluorinated acrylate repeating unit is derived from a fluorinated methacrylate monomer selected from the group consisting of a hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate monomer claim 2 , a trifluoroethyl methacrylate monomer claim 2 , and combinations thereof.4. The lens material of claim 1 , wherein the silicon-containing repeating unit is derived from a monomer selected from the group consisting of a silyl methacrylate monomer claim 1 , a silyl styrene monomer claim 1 , and combinations thereof.6. An ophthalmic lens material comprising:dopamine methacrylamide,a hydrophilic monomer,a cross-linking agent, anda photoinitiator;wherein the dopamine methacrylamide has a mass percentage of about 0.5% to about 10% of a total mass of the ophthalmic lens material, the hydrophilic monomer has a mass percentage of about 88.95% to about 99.494% of a total mass of the ophthalmic lens material, the cross-linking agent has a mass percentage of about 0.001% to about 1% of a total mass of the ophthalmic lens material, the photoinitiator has a mass percentage of about 0.005% to about 0.05% of a total mass of the ophthalmic lens material.2. The ophthalmic lens material of claim 1 , wherein the hydrophilic monomer is selected from a group consisting of methylacrylic acid compounds and acrylic compounds claim 1 , or any combination thereof.3. The display panel comprises a first substrate; a second substrate, opposite to the first substrate; and a sealant, between the first substrate and the second substrate; wherein a first super-hydrophobic layer is between the first substrate and the sealant; and the first super-hydrophobic layer is formed by a reaction between photopolymerizable monomer and siloxane having a reactive double bond under light. The arrangement of the super-hydrophobic layer can effectively prevent moisture from entering the display panel. Thus, the waterproof performance of the display panel is improved and the display panel can still function normally when it is in a high temperature and high humidity environment for a long time.
